Meh, that's a side-quest for him.
Lebedev owns the Evening Standard which gave Johnson a very very big backing during the mayoral elections when Johnson was standing. That's how they got to know each other.
What does Lebedev get in return for that and the subsequent bunga bunga parties?

The real tragedy is that if you have a spare £10m to chuck about to host lots of parties and put up celebs and MPs in nice surroundings you can buy yourself a remarkable amount of influence.
That's the language oligarchs and kleptocrats understand. They see money as power and use their power to make more money.
That's it. They steal, they create fictions, they murder and they use money to buy elections, assassinate or imprison rivals and buy off western governments for influence.

That was your inference - not my claim. All you have to do is read what I said.john80 said:The OP claim was indicating he went to a party and was sleeping with prostitute's.

Only if you're on the receiving end of the murder or the losing side in elections, which I guess is the reason Stevo is so happy.0

Why bring it in. You could have just said he went to Lebedevs house for the weekend without bringing women into it couldn't you. As Lebedev owns a media outlet I wonder how many other parties former PM's have attended of people that own media outlets. So if the girls are not relevant and hardly worth a mention as lets face it females in a room is no a sacking offence then why is everyone else on here leaping to the Profumo comparison. Its not just me reading into your words and inferring things.imposter2.0 said:

Should Lebedev be in the Lords, or is he a fit and proper person to own a UK medial publication are the better questions?0 -
Again John, I think you're a bit 'behind the curve' on this topic. Lebedev's invitation (the one which Rory Stewart declined, and spaffer accepted) specifically mentioned that the party would have 'girls' in attendance. That's why I referred to it. These parties were apparently well-known. Spaffer ditched his security detail for the weekend and most likely went there to get his end away, because he can't help himself.john80 said:

The better question would be, is spaffer a fit and proper person to be prime minister of the United Kingdom. Most of us already know the answer to that - even if you don't.1 -

No, not really. The guy is shameless, we already know that. If he cared about stuff like that, he might try a bit harder to look less like a sack of sh11t all the time. While he might not care about his own behaviour, I'm sure the Tory 'moral majority' would have something to say.john80 said:
To be compromised would he not need to be embarrassed by his behaviour. Cue the honey trap operation that failed when the guy asked for copies of the photos so he could brag about the standard of female he had bedded.imposter2.0 said:

I'm sure the Lebedev family didn't invite spaffer to their Italian mansion for the weekend "with girls" because they liked his company.
I really don’t understand the unequivocal support of Johnson when he is obviously utterly woeful.
Now Rory Stewart I could vote for.
he's taken the pissout of a whole tranche of English society who have deep throated him and Rees Mogg and, for some reason, still believe he's working for them whilst every day messing up their lives and laughing, openly, in their faces.
you honestly couldn't make thisshit up.

Reports that Russia are now claiming they only ever wanted to secure Donbas and Crimea and their military campaign will now turn to securing those objectives.

Quite strange primary objectives - ie turn world opinion against you, get smashed to bits, destruction of your own economy and your President about to get charged with war crimes - but hey, if thats what they were after.
Methinks they'll get smashed there for a bit as well and then negotiations will happen - tricky bit for the Ukrainians is balancing forces around all the fronts. The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.
