Skylark - taken on one of our lockdown walks - hand held with just a 300mm lens and with a 12 month old strapped to my chest.

    Well done that cat.

Skylarks are getting rare. Though I did hear one on our beach walk the other day.
I used to hear them over the Cotswolds a lot.

They are all over that heath, dozens of them. I'd never seen them before the lockdown, same goes for the pair of kestrels. There were signs to say they had both kestrels and skylarks in the reserve, but I had never seen them.

Had a walk along the beach at Barton on Sea this afternoon and this wonderful creature was sunbathing. Never seen one on our local beach before. I guess the lack of people and sea vessels has encouraged it to venture further afield.

Kestrel, with the Shard in the background. Quite heavily cropped, so not the best quality.

Nice. Which section of the Wharfe, if you don't mind me asking?

Quite pleased with this one from a run along the River Usk a few weeks ago. It's tidal in that area and usually ugly mudflats

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I was forced to do that with my post-concussion syndrome from 2018 (still ongoing to a degree), and photography has been part of that... nothing clever, but just recording nice/interesting stuff that I see, maybe getting a bit better at it, end enjoying sharing it with other people. One of the big joys for me is that it makes me look at things in a different way, rather than just taking my surrounding for granted.

I managed a few days trekking in the hills to the north of Hanoi in October. Considering the $hit of 2020 this was an amazing experience.

I would if I could but it's a Lumix compact. I suspect it may be a blemish within the lens group.

Out on my longer training runs or walls / runs in the mountains I try to appreciate my surroundings more and stop to photograph the best of the views. Only ever on my phone but it's nice to have a record.

Every now and then I even see things on my regular routes close to home that I hadn't appreciated before like the photo above (it used to be on my cycle commute but I never saw it looking so nice).

There are some staggering views from the hills around here on a clear day and I can be there in minutes.

If you use software to manage your photos, it might have the ability to automatically remove the blemishes from all future photos once you've set it up.
