I'm not sure my experience today will bring back such fond memories as yours.

Yeah, it was a very special day, not least as I can remember Mum's wonder, and my pleasure in her totally understanding why I fell in love with the area. Glad to have photos to remind me, now she's gone.

    Aren't photos wonderful?

A good sky today... it'll be even better if I avoid the rain on my way into work in a while...

Didn't think this would work at all: improvised telephoto with small binoculars held in front of phone.

    ^^^ Well improvised! ^^^
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Thanks. Never going to win any prizes but pleased it captured something.

It's two cubs, (or possibly three?) You can see its ears and tail.

There's four altogether, but they don't sit still.

Nice. The sun came out here so I decided to go out to the local woods to chase the cliche bluebell shots before they’re gone.

Unfortunately what clouds there were stayed stubbornly on the western horizon hiding the sun. Will chuck what I took onto the laptop tomorrow, the woodland ones were disappointing but the open field is carpeted with them and I think I got some that may be passable. I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many bluebells as this year.

I thought I knew most churches, but had missed this little beauty. On the coast, but tucked away amongst the trees.

I'll probably post a few more Brittany photos in due course, but here are a few from Sunday's race... nothing great, but not too bad, even if nothing terrible creative.

Thanks PB. A love it or hate it thing, I’d guess.

Taken with the Ebay special. Although it was only £10, someone (a Charley) had decided to `service` it. It arrived with the aperture mechanism jammed and on back to front. The focus ring was seized, and other bits incorrectly assembled (and bent). The previous owner had also filled it with a load of sticky, thick grease too. Anyway, got it back to full health after some thorough cleaning, a bit of head scratching, a large dose of patience and a touch of grease. The body and glass were in tip-top condition, so probably worth it.

Anyway, I hope things are going well in your recent retirement, and you find the time to post an occasional photo. :)

Contrary to other people's opinion on retirement I'm now too busy! 🤣
    Eventually...

I've not been posting much as the vast majority of my photos recently have been of the snap/record shot variety. This one appealed though.
