It looked like promising sunset weather, then suddenly clouded over on the horizon. I managed to find a droplet instead. I'm quite pleased with the focusing.
    drop

I tried ctrl+ to magnify it to see if I could see the reflection and what you look like but all I saw was a pixelated Minecraftesue image.
Oi, there’s no pleasing some people. I did catch my reflection in another similar drop shot. Shame, it had that ‘back of a spoon’ look, totally ruining my pretty boy chiselled features.😋

^That first shot is nice and bold pross. I haven't much luck at the beach recently. I blame the weather.
I took this in a graveyard a little while ago. There are certainly more impressive carvings about, but I like how three-dimensional he looks.

I must try similar next time I've got good church carved heads. A lot of them are either intentionally grotesque, or just plain glum & boring, but occasionally you get a proper character.

Cheers. I’m trialling Lightroom and Photoshop and think I’ll carry on with them as Lightroom really seems to do a better job bringing out detail than the other software I’ve used.

Yes, I remember you taking a few. Something else to look out for anyway.

The problem is often that the good heads aren't close enough to get artisitic depth-of-field shots.

True. Lighting or lack of it might be problematic too. Mine was on a gravestone, so nice and easy.

    Excellent use of DoF!
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

If you were having sex, and a stranger came and poked a camera at you a few inches away from your nose, would you be cheerful?

    It’s a whole online genre

It's actually a brazier used for events.
I have one with the sun inside but diffraction ruins the effect.

I much prefer the second one. Grew up around the coalfields of West Yorkshire so I am partial to an industrial landscape, and that's a belter!

A couple of Exeter Cathedral photos... one rather 'gothic' one looking from the high altar towards the organ (which was built in 1662), and the other one from the organ loft looking towards the high altar, with the stunning 1323 Bishop's Throne on the right.

Just noticed that most of the shots I've posted here (from Flickr) have all been saved by Lightroom at a low resolution. Doh, I always thought they looked sharper on Lightroom before exporting them.

    [Good to 'see' you Ben]

I really didn't like the Tate modern.
Went to the Kandinsky exhibition, which I loved but the building?
There was one area on the 3rd/4th(?) floor with a view out that I liked (long strips of cut outs) but the entrance vault and the harsh geometry and concrete made it an NCP building gone wrong with poor natural light and coolness that was unwelcoming. It's semi-brutal architecture.
The M Tate and the Barbican should be demolished.

There are some lovely areas of London and then you have these modern structures that lack anything really, mainly soul.

Had one bouncing off the living room window last week. Definitely seemed too early.

Ha, an electric version no less. With the small diameter of those wheels, I'd worry about disappearing down some of the deeper potholes.
