Haha, my counting to ten and judging where I needed to be was a bit out today... didn't quite make it into formation for the summer team tour jersey shot.

Some dramatic skies for my fell run in the Black Mountains this morning

Clouds and wide angle shots are often a winning combination.

My old neck of the woods being an Exeter lad until 18 Brian. A little while since I have been to Topsham & Sidmouth now my Mum is no longer alive. Spent a summer teaching German students in Sidmouth having lunch often near that same spot! Would have been 1986 I believe… not changed at all Sidmouth especially the hills nearby!

Haha, no not changed much, though you'd not recognise the road between the M5 & Topsham now - nearly all housing estates.

Some out 'n' about road pics all taken on flat grey days, hence no skies.

More inspiration than me... couldn't be bothered to get even the phone out today to take flat grey photos in the gloom ☁️

Can someone wake me up when the weather does something interesting, please?

They weren't taken today, but on other general welsh gloom days. Yeah, some sun and warmth would be welcome.

You must have hit the alcohol creativity sweet spot. Any more and it could've gone horribly wrong.

I appear to have perfected getting mellow and staying there.
Took years of trial and error. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

A bit dull out there again, so went macro. Same dandelion, just focused slightly differently.

You inspired me to find a tiny bit of colour amongst the greyness.

The second one is the more standard version but I think I prefer the ethereal look of the first.

Yes, I prefer the soft look of the first too. Trying to take a dandelion head in a novel way is a challenge in itself. Backlit maybe something else to try if the sun ever reappears.

Today's departure from the grey gloom.
A walk along the beach from sunny days gone by. Two weeks seems such a long time ago.

The grasses/dunes on the top picture look like a promising area for a foreground during a sunset/rise.

    1. Wasn't there at sunrise/sunset but the low sun was interesting. (Looks better full size).
    2. Finding some colour once the clouds did roll in.

    Bee alert!
Tried a sunset tonight, but it wasn't great, so here's a bee in flight (just). First one of the year.

My wife's favourite from the other weekend. (Nice to get someone else's perspective.)
Added here mostly to remind us of blue sky. 😉

It's amazing how a tiny detail (the figure) can transform a picture. Scale and a focal point, I suppose. Nice!

Nicely spotted. It's nice when someone grasps the intent.
