No, Westcountry trumpets only have one valve, as that's all you can play with webbed hands.0 -
Playing about walking the dog by torchlight. Was hoping to get the torch on a hedge and silhouette him so it looked like he was howling at the moon but he wouldn’t play ball.

Sounds like he wasn't sure whether to howl or play ball. #confusedpooch0 -
BTW, try playing the trumpet for him, and he might howl. My old pooch did.0

Made the most of the 30 minutes of sunshine today... I was surprised to see an arum lily in flower...
...and then someone turned the sun out, and I was using my bike lights by 3pm.

Out trying to capture the sunrise this morning but had to get back before the main event to take the wife to the station. Managed to get a few on the phone when walking the dogs plus a few 'blue hour' on the camera, quite odd having a sunrise to the front and a full moon high in the sky behind. Useless at picking a favourite so another dump sorry!

That was worth a bit of a detour this morning on the commute... a tad chilly, even with lots of layers on.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -

You want cool for the snow, and warm for the sun. Tricky balancing act.The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Won’t be using my proper camera for a bit. Went to take some shots of the moon but it wouldn’t switch on so I assumed the battery was dead. Plugged the charger into the wall socket and as I was about to clip the battery in the charger blew up in my hand, it blew the cable clean off!

Ouch, that's shocking!
E-bay for a replacement?0 -
Just had a look to see if my now-unused Sony camera battery charger was the same, but the battery compartment looks a totally different shape... I'd have sent it to you otherwise, as it's just sitting in a pile of redundant chargers. I just charge the battery up in the current Sony by plugging in a micro USB from a phone charger - are you sure you cant do the same?Pross said:Won’t be using my proper camera for a bit. Scared the sh1t out of me! It was a genuine part too. I’ve found one on Amazon with 2 batteries that can be charged by USB as well so useful when travelling.1

Not snowy, but frosty, just pre-sunrise on 1 Jan 2021... I was running between the three vantage points I wanted to get something from... and it was just as extraordinary as the photos:
I don't think I've ever had the chance of doing a proper snowy sunrise.3 -
Snow, ice, frost, same principle.briantrumpet said:

You (or the camera) did an excellent job back in January! The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Couldn't decide whether to try to remove the lens flare in no.1, so, being lazy, ICBA.

St Mary Woolnoth. Just as you come out of Bank station. One of of Hawksmoor's most inventive churches.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)
