Wet streets definitely add something.
Especially so at night. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Something slightly different. I recently did a tour of the old wind tunnels located at Farnborough airfield

It was so windy it stopped the tide going out. Horizontal rain 10mins before this.

Had to hold my nerve with a few today. Looking through a viewfinder whilst these are crashing towards you is interesting.

No cats here, but same level of 'enjoyment'.
A photo from a couple of days ago, but same sentiment...

I thought that the sunset might get better, so I was hoping to get some reflections...

I'm not sure I've got anything else in my repertoire other than cheesy. Oh well.

Taken on Sunday. Yes, on the beach again.

It would certainly appear indeed that life is a beach. 😉The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Obviously not mine, but this is quite the photo from the NASA Orion craft.
1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

Went to see if there were any sunset colours, but none. Looong exposure instead.
Got some nice wave shots too, but will spare you.

Glassy. The wooden boat is extremely buoyant!0

Second boat photo is a real head spinner! 🤣The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Funny how the brain can't process an image of a reflection upside down. Well mine clearly can't. The floaty boaty shot was properly disturbing till I rotated it.
Next time I'm beside a tranquil lake I'm going to look at it upside down. Me, not the lake obvs.0 -
Couldn't work it out at all on my phone screen. It doesn't help that the reflection of the sky looks more blue than the actual sky.0

I do too, but they can have a very stylised appearance. For me, some extremely long exposures that leave a rough sea looking like an ethereal mist go a bit too far. They do seem very popular, though.Pross said:

It was ideal yesterday, as it was already past sunset and cloudy, so an ND filter wasn’t necessary. The composition looks slightly awkward, but that was the most `attractive` side of the rock.

It's the best one I've managed, not least as the reflected water is almost as light as the sky. And putting it after a right-way-up one was intended to bemuse, I'll admit.0 -
It's nice to plan something and it actually works out. I had to do a site visit over in the Neath valley so tried to plan it when the weather would be sunny on the hills with fog in the valley. When I left this morning I thought the fog would be hanging around high up but as I was driving it cleared to the extent I thought there would be none left. In the end a few places were still too much in the fog but managed to get some hopefully fairly decent ones

Oh, and as it was only a mile or two away I took a detour to Henrhyd Falls, the highest in South Wales with a 30 foot drop and the entrance to the Bat Cave in The Dark Knight Rises. Would have like to go behind but wet limestone, a camera and a 32kg German Shepherd Dog connected to your waist would be a recipe for disaster. Unfortunately the shots came out blurred, not sure if that was my focusssing (manual) or that the tripod was moving in the breeze on the long exposure. Really annoying!

EDIT - well, there's my answer. This is the photo:

Gwaun valley. There were some nice subtle sunset colours in the sky, but slightly blown and lacking in the pic.

I know I won't out-masjer @masjer, but I still wanted to get a couple of wavey shots in the gloom at Anstey's Cove in between today's Bach rehearsal and performance. The playing was better than the photography, which is just as well, as they were paying me good money for the Bach.
