For anyone with a recent model iPhone, you probably know this already but you can take decent long exposure photos using the ‘live’ photo function. Just take the photo, open it and there’s a drop down menu that lets you convert it to long exposure. It means you can take long exposures without worrying about them being over-exposed and no tripod needed. Only downside is you can’t shoot RAW in live mode.

A couple from this morning straight from the phone

I did not know that, thanks! Really should RTFM. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I only found out as I was a bit annoyed that they seemed to be missing most of the Pro settings I had on Samsung such shutter speed so did some research. Still think they ought have a manual mode to be more customisable though

Haha, went to see an interesting building, and a car was in just the wrong place. Five minutes with a crude clone tool... not perfect, but it'll do.

^^ I like 1st pic best 😉. I must learn that trick, handy.

A quick zoom lens trial. Another film lens, but seems to work well.

    ...

A lens is a lens as long as it fits, no?
    Nice shots though.

Cheers. True about the lens, but it's nearly as old as me and almost as heavy!

Maybe I should have photoshopped a horse in instead. Would have made someone happy.

Guy on a cafe run had an old Nikon F2 and a manual 50mm 1.4 lens in a backpack.
Weighed* nearly as much as my bike! 🤣🤣🤣 Cracking photos though. 😎

*Certainly squashed all thoughts of ever going retro.

Thanks. One has to work a bit harder when there are incoming ripples... I took quite a few to get one I liked, just because of how the ripples undulated randomly... interesting how varied the shots were.

Ha, I'd probably want to adjust the exposure on that.

Here's another bit of rippling along the same lines:

And, for good measure (made me think of the opening lyric):

Just a quick snap with my mobile whilst out pedalling and stopping regularly to fettle the winter bike now back on the road.

Just had a quick Google. Fly agaric: Toxic but not deadly. Strong hallucinogenic. Apparently edible if prepared properly. No thanks.
