    Road obstruction. Hundreds of them.

Hope you took a load home?

My riding companion did, and as he lives very nearby is going to return there with a big bag.

I have an old Minolta SRT 101 with a fantastic Zoom lens which is bayonet mount...
...and my Sony SLR body won't accept the fitting. Something to do with being it an e-system.

But some of the old lenses once designed for the Minolta AF mount won't work with the SLTs, especially not with lenses made by Sigma.

    Sigh.

You can get loads of adapters. Your Sony would have to have a manual setting.
This might be what you need:https://kentfaith.co.uk/minolta-lenses/KF06.503_high-precision-lens-mount-adapter-for-minolta-sr-md-mc-series-lens-to-sony-e-series-mount-camera-md-nex-iv-pro

Hmm, @pinno says “Sony SLR” which might be one of the A-series things. The SLT series were a kind of hybrid mirrorless system I think with a translucent screen in the body for AF which flipped up at exposure. Those were (generally) all “A mount” type, not the newer “E mount” Sony have standardized on now.

The Minolta model used the SR bayonet mount which included AF coupling, but is still different.

Might need this one or similar

A few from our village bonfire taken in the phone. Not too bad for a relatively cheap phone

    Why not next week?
    Curious.

I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Curious.
Sussex bonfire season starts in September and goes through into late November. Lewes is always on the 5th, the other towns and villages are on the Saturday nights before and after. The individual societies visit each other and process, either in themed fancy dress or "smugglers" jumpers. It's a great spectacle

I guess that makes sense. Thanks as I thought someone was just being contrary. 😉

40+mph wind, rain and (accidentally) image stabilisation off, so quite pleased.

Lewes is definitely worth going to although getting home isn't always straightforward.

I've lived here nearly 20 ears and never been. Used to have to have a half day on the 5th as the town closes early. Our village one is so good I've not felt the need to travel in :) I'll go one day I suppose to see what all the fuss is about.

It was easy for me when I lived in Eastbourne. Just jump on the train after copious quantities of Sussex 4x winter ale and a kebab.

Darn, didn't shield my lens from the rain on this afternoon one, and got a drop... using panorama mode to get the whole thing in, and you can see the pattern. Could do with a very soft brush to smooth it out... the clone tool would be too unsubtle.

    Stormy

    Sure is.

And even if it is a bit underexposed, I don't care, especially as I got a bit of a ride in and didn't get wet.

No riding here tomorrow, 50-56mph wind for about 12 hours.
