Neben from USA in front with around 40" on a reduced peloton with 25km to go. No full chase behind though with Dutch, GB and AUS teams all looking ready to up the pace.

I think the slight upping of pace and the fact that Amber Neben rode a world class tt a few days ago means that the gap is slowing dropping - Neben's form does not look that smooth (well not as much as when she broke away) but she still looks pretty damn good for her position and the amount of work she is doing

Yeah, for a time triallist her position on the road bike is shocking.

18 km to go and teams are discussing whether to back themselves in a bunch sprint finish or start to attack soon to avoid one.

The TT winner Neben off the fron (and has been for 10-15kms) and has 40 secs

Aus, NL and Belgium on the front but more maintaining rather than active chasing. GB lurking rather nicely I think

    time beginning ot drop now

    Sweeden appears.

To be honest I think they re just waiting to launch the chase

    35 - 45s with 25km to go

(edit - time gap appears to very wildly)

5km to go. Huge show of strength from the Dutch team organising their sprint train for Wild who has Vos' wheel.

I do like an underdog :) Fighting for Wild's wheel there was the clincher. And she's only 20!

    1st Stage 1 Holland Ladies Tour[2]
    1st World Championships Doha

    Thoughts from 10km ago

*Ooooh nice Dani! Destroys the peloton!!

*Pulled back by her team mates...

*Ooooh, go Hannah - got a lot of time for Miss Barns Snr.

*Great to see Marianne back - did I ever tell you I rode with her this one time?

*as expected the girls are lighting it up. One suspects the boys maybe a little less exciting this time tomorrow

*Got to hand to to the Dutch, they re clearly all great friends and ride their hearts out for each other

    *Ah ze germans are coming...

    *hmmm, leadout trains forming...Hup Holland!

*Dani back - does not get the credit she deserves does Miss King

(* when Rochelle get's nervous she throws in a whole lot more "Aww Looks")

    *Dani you re a hero!

*Ellen was there too by the way...

*BBC going on and on about Lizzie but can't see her matching the flat sprinters...

*far too early by the Dutch...a rare mistake from Vos

    * great sprint from Diedrickson (sp?)

yet perfectly positions her Boels Dormans Team mate....#Conspiracy #ProperWorldChampsCycling

Was she the one from the Omnium in the Olympics too? Who lapped the field about 10 times..?

Great picture of Lizzie being first to congratulate Amalie - not sure if the young Dane was even certain (or believing) she had won (although Wild def knew she had lost)

Hey @BritishCycling, this is why you send juniors to the Road World Champs, so they have the experience to win 2 years later! #UCIDoha2016

Always funny when a team dominates and gets their sprinter into the perfect position only for them to lose out.

    True

To be fair BC had a cluster of young riders in the main race and they all did pretty well.
