Anyone know what Germany's strategy is with Kittel and Greipel?

Had a quick look on BBC just now, 240km to go. At the rate they are going through bidons and camelbacks they need a water tanker following.

Most riders riding with a bunch of bottles down their jerseys. Storing them up.

Columbia did well to get a man in the break.

    Good for Gavaria.

What time are we expecting the finish today??
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Commentators missing a trick discussing the many instances in the '70s & 80s when the break got a lap on the bunch.

So my reckoning is the proper echelons will be in that 160-100km to go.

What do they do if they do get a lap?

Would assume its game over for the main bunch if they catch them all?
Seem to recall the main bunch were warned to pick it up to prevent a catch in 2010 - think Brammier was in a break that had 20+ minutes.

When the Tour came to the Uk in the '70s it happened. Solo break lapped the field. When he crossed the line in the middle of the bunch he celebrated - rest of the bunch carried on.

    Can't remember what stage unfortunately.

You'd think he could have nipped off the front or dropped off the back for a bit of solo self indulgence.

The two right turns at Ras Laffan are about 180km out - and the race south down (which is about 20km) to the pearl will have crosswinds. How much gap can you open up in 20 km of echelons? Enough to hold off the 150km around the pearl?

So who is Belarus riding for?
