Hey @BritishCycling, this is why you send juniors to the Road World Champs, so they have the experience to win 2 years later! #UCIDoha2016

    True

To be fair BC had a cluster of young riders in the main race and they all did pretty well.

Yeah, I think she's referencing recent years more than this one...

Always funny when a team dominates and gets their sprinter into the perfect position only for them to lose out.

Brutal Day at the office for Australia too. Bit of a Fail for them really.

Then I'm sure you were both happy to see GB fielding young talent such as Alice Barnes & Annasley Park

I just saw CW put on FB - 'Youth trumps experience' and the first thing that came to my head was... what has Donald been up to now.

Some interesting results coming out of the Worlds so far.

Boonen higher rated than Kittel and Kristoff? Talk about blinkered!

Yes (well, the BBC commentary mentioned she was disappointed in the result of her Olympic omnium).

Forecast has picked up. NW @ 16-25mph.

Expect some echelons on the way back from the long loop out.

Long periods of echelons will put pressure on the riders re hydration too.

Yep. She screwed up in the devil and the sprint lap (I think), then absolutely murdered the field in the points.
She's from just round the corner from me, pretty much.

Only problem is the laps are the final 105km so I can't see the echelons being definitive - could wear out a few teams though.

They re there and back laps though aren't they...so long as the wind is perpendicular...

Lap is all over the place - 'not straight and NW isn't great.

The bit out sure - but not the laps.
