6 gold, 4 silvers + bronze from the trackies!
  • Derny pulled off so quickly that I was half surprised he didn't high-side it and bring them all down...

No answer to Kenny's acceleration there.

So a minimum of a silver in every track event except the women's team sprint where we had no entry. Not bad, I guess that's the funding renewed for another 4 years.

That almost came close recently. (if they were already married)

But anyway, all of you who have to work can now sleep and be proud. I only have to ride my bike tomorrow.

No they won't, you can fit a few medals into a small tupperware or something, they're not that big probably less than 10cm across.
  • Bet the BBC bail out after Jason's medal and don't hang around for the women's sprint....

Judging by the comments on the weight of the medals they'll be paying excess baggage. That said Phelps has more by himself.

Yes, seriously 5 of those medals would easily fit in a small tupperware, you wouldn't need a massive square bag for life type thing would you? It's common sense really.

Twitter is little the new conduit for verbal diarrhoea, all delivered in speedily dumped 140 character squits to those who will lap it up. 99% of it is the domain of berks.

"They were cannon fodder when you look at the last few years. Now they come along with a (high) level," Vogel told German wire agency DPA.

"No idea if they haven't trained for three years. I don't want to accuse anyone of anything but it is all very questionable."

I wonder what that now makes her for winning then.

Thoughts on the Derny. It no longer makes a noise, so the riders don't get an audio prompt of its accelerations. I wonder if that has contributed to the problems.
