I cannot see how he got there....

IIRC from the overhead shots the front wheel ended up somewhere behind where he is in that photo, a few metres before the stream. Possibly hidden behind those low bushes in this photo.

Just back from holiday and catching up on the Giro. I knew Chaves would end the day in pink. Eurosport kindly advertised stage 20 (including the rider currently in pink) in the middle of the highlights of stage 19. They're clearly not fans on the spoiler tag.

Otherwise good stage. Surprised Kruijswijk lost so much time. The Dutch will get GT winner one day.

Astana the masters of miraculous transformations, especially day to day, from crap to in form. Makes me puke. Nibali miraculously (like Aru last year) found his 20 lost watts.

Also funny how all Nibali's wins are after his opponents crash out, no exceptions. When they don't he doesn't win, simply as that.
Nibali must think the same because he changes teams next year.
Probably fed up with some childrens speculations about his sponsors past history.
but why? He looks like a wee boy amongst men
    Similar to Pantani.

Top of the picture you see the road on top of a small embankment.
Now imagine a rider doing 50/60 mph and missing the edge of the Tarmac.
Say No More, except if the camera's had been following him, then it would have seen something far more spectacular than the Kruijswijk adventure.
