No, just distraction, last night was a run, then time in the spin bike followed by headtorch basket ball with the kids

Long day here as well. Seemed to be the perfect storm of internal deadlines, random stupid questions and idiot insurance companies not making things clear. I resisted the temptation to hit anyone.

    Evening twinkytypes,

Bit of diy graft dodged today, did a tip run, bit of a shop and visited a mate! Sweet.

    Toodles.

    Evening Mongles,

Just trying to sort out my kids car insurance once and for all. Frikkin insurance need her to give consent for me to throw money at them  Then on Saturday I'll have the joy of driving a Miami blue 59bhp Polo back from deepest Kent - probably should wear a balaclava in case somebody recognises me.

    Evening worms,

Incessant diy, though I'd rather be doing this than powering around sarf England in 59horses of VW speed machine.

Evening dwellers of the Marie Celeste forum :)

Long day in the office for a Friday plus a soggy ride to and from work so I reckon I've earned my booze for tonight. I also want to forget what I'll be driving tomorrow...at least 'The Eagle has landed' and is somewhere up in East Anglia in a storage facility.

    Evening twattssss,

Just non stop diy here! I now understand what pressure is, cutting a hole in a work top for the sink with a jigsaw with the bottom feeder watching on!

    Now watching some football.

Made it back from banjo country intact. Hopefully I won't have to drive it again for a good while: had to keep the throttle nailed to get up to 70 on the M20 :) At least the stereo was OK.

    Morning bumders,

Supposedly a gale here and racing has been cancelled (lame) so bit of breakfast then a ride down by the seaside to see if it is really windy or if it's just a storm in a teacup.

It's gopping here as well although the forecast says the rain will stop just in time for it to get dark  Currently doing bits 'n' pieces but generally CBA after going to a mate's 50th bash last night (there was a free bar and he's Irish...)

    Evening pocket billiards players,

Tough day at the office today, delegating to minions just seems to get harder these days. Must be the amount I'm trying to do :) Bit chilly on the bike as well, I'd say it's Northern BBQ weather out there.

    Evening buttmunchers,

Minor diy, also helped a mate move some shizzle. Had a couple of beers which seems to aid snoring according to the kitchen tech!

    Evening, rimmers.

I'm still suffering the after-effects of last week's man-flu so today was a real drag in the office.
I have tried various beers, gin and wine but none seem to get rid of the snot fairy that is living in my nostrils.
Just about to put the idiot lantern on and will try dark, spiced rum to see if that improves my health...

I think the snot fairy has paid me a visit as well. Don't feel ill, just snotty.

In the good news, the local council healthcare brigade called me our of the blue and told me they would be picking up the tab for my old dears care fees - including the care home cost. That's a sh1t load of money every month. Time for a little celebration I think.

    Evening pots of the toss!

    Good news Stevo!

Had a day of people popping round for a cuppa, this deteriorated into beers and wine so feeling a bit Tlw at the moment!

Tomorrow is my Friday if that helps at all? Headed North tomorrow evening, where bizarrely the weather seems to be better than down here.

Just finished dealing with idiots and packing up shortly...

Woohoo!!! Off to the pub in a moment. You work harder now you’ve retired than you ever did when employed bg. I’m feeling snotty too, should I blame JBA?

Who is being dumped under this one?

    Evening, teabaggers.

Snow is forecast for these parts tomorrow. Who’d have thought it: snow in winter. I popped down to the local Co op earlier for a couple of tins of medicinal ale and it looked like panic buying had started. No bread and only a couple of bottles of milk left.

If it makes you feel better V68 you can blame me for your snottiness. I told you no tongues but you wouldn’t listen!

Whatever, I’m a cheap date and after a couple of beers some lowly types will take advantage and later claim the moral high ground. Cheap shot if you ask me.

    Fnarr fnarr.

Afternoon felchers, halfway through my Friday then into the car and dodge this evenings snow storm by heading North, bizarrely where apparently it won't be snowing - until tomorrow. If nobody hears from me tomorrow I'll probably be frozen in a ditch somewhere on the A1.
