    Evening Skiing Dodgers :)

Nearly died from raclette poisoning last night so will have fried cow tonight washed down with red wine. Cracking day of skiing today, sun was out and not too cold.

We found a decent bar with some good looking bar maids who seemed to get even more good looking as last night went on. Failing that, we'll head for the local strip joint.
Thanks I was worried you weren’t enjoying yourself

    Morning, wastrels.

I was working from home yesterday. Got a massive lump of aluminium stuck in my car tyre on Tuesday so had to wait in for a mobile fitter to come and fit a new tyre. I made sure 2 e-mails were sent before lunch and 2 after lunch in line with the rules for working from home.

This weekend can't come quick enough as it's going to be a good one: rugby, beer and curry on Friday night, G&Tea on Saturday afternoon (that's afternoon tea with added gin) followed by tapas and boozes in the evening and then a chilled Sunday. Best of all there are no requirements for Dad's Taxi so I can really take advantage of the boozing opportunities.

    Afternoon trail trawlers,
What's happened to Stevo? Has he gone away or something? Not much going on round these parts, been visiting lots of pubs as it seems to be permanently dark outside. I think I should carry on doing this until the spring.

I did post yesterday...too busy enjoying my skiing malarkey. Snow stopped play about 2.30 today so we went down the pool and sauna then hit the beers. Quick rest them out for food and plonk. Sun will be shining tomorrow 8)

Yesterday was one of the best powder days out, did loads of off piste on the Grands Montets. On the way back to the airport now so I promise not to mention it again until about Christmas time :)

    Morning tossers and dossers,
Still no word from Stevo, hope he's alright. I guess he might post tomorrow.
Took the old dear car shopping earlier, not very exciting to say the least. Oher than that a bit of pottering and a bit of lounging. Tomorrow should be more of the same.

Got my ski gear unpacked. Went to look at a couple of desperately under-powered cars for Stropteen and came away with a couple of options. Now have to see how much the insurance will be

    Back to reality tomorrow.

Today has been diy, rugby, beer, tv and loafing!

Tomorrow sees more diy and less rugby, beer, tv and loafing.

    It's Monday bitches

Yesterday was "interesting" crit with the Di2 stuck in the 52/11 was fun, average cadence of 60rpm.. today will involve trying to fix it and maybe doing some work or something more fun if I get bored.

    Greetings goat herders,
Have you tried turning it off and on again Bird? Not an option with any of my bikes thankfully, I'm too much of a luddite. You been away Stevo?
A good weekend was had, all too brief as usual. Busy at work as is always the case, helps the days pass quicker at least. It was a bit fresh when I wobbled in this morning.

Back to reality today but not a bad first day back considering. Packing up soon and headed home to get another insurance quote for Stropteen's forthcoming car. Managed to get it under £1,500 so far...I think I've earned a glass of plonk for that.

That’s about what I paid for the first year on the Mini Stevo. What car have you got her? I made it very clear to the lad that if he had an accident or any points I would not insure him again. Helps focus their minds.

1l Polo with a stonking 59bhp. Thankfully no black box required or restrictions on when you can drive it. Couldn't pull a greased stick out of a pigs arris so that's perfect. Just have to buy the thing tomorrow as I'm going to see if I can get it any lower this evening.

    Happy Tuesday

Not looking forward to insurance with the bin lids, it was much easier for us as kids as dad had a motor trader policy which meant we were fully comp for any car - still remember his face when he realised I had been driving a Ferrari on it :)

    Hola, beeches.

If that is the Smart Miles policy check the details really carefully, Stevo. I had a look at it for The Boy and there are lots of restrictions, massive excess and as soon as you add options the premium goes up a lot.
I eventually got him a policy with Elephant (an Admiral offshoot) for a smidge under £1k with me and SWMBO as named drivers. That's for a Suzuki Swift 1.2.

None of this black box crap luckily.

I figured out why so cheap: they quoted for the whole year as if she was a learner when in reality she'll likely pass quite soon. Once they pass and don't have someone else in the car supervising, then the premiums go through the roof. Need to re-run the quote as if she had a full license then I'm comparing apples with apples.

Anyhow, just been out for cider and pub grub with a mate so all is well with the world :)
