    Evening cooking funts,

Yesterday evening had a visit to a&e as a bit of a pine tree fell into my eye, waited about ten minutes to be seen and the whole a&e visit lasted about 45 minutes! Seems the eye is ok and I don't need to do a pirate impression.
Today has been a bit of mincing, televised rugby and red wine............sweet.

    Toodles.

Morning Reprobates, didn't appreciate having to get up to do Dad's taxi duty again. I need to make sure we pack her off to Uni then I can have some decent lie ins. Onwards to skiving,

    Morning angry pirates,
I seem to have a hangover, can’t imagine why. Might be something to do with all the beer last night. Met up with some old school friends and drank like a teenager.
Been a busy week, did a load of work on the old Mini, carb rebuild and new exhaust manifold so it should run a bit better for the female child to start learning to drive next month.
Better make another cup of tea and go back to lounging around.

    Not a real angry pirate!

    Afternoon shirt lifters,

Sorting stuff out to crack on with the dodgy diy, hopefully no more a&e visits as the shouty doctor was a bit nasty!

Now watching the cars racing round in circles.

We're just filling in Stropteens driving license application today and we need find someone responsible enough to sign it off. Not sure if I should try to fail for now as I'll only have to buy her a second hand Fiesta* or something once she gets behind the wheel.

    * That's a car btw.

    Evening, bum cracks.

bg13 - when you say "a bit of a pine tree fell into my eye" do you mean Mrs bg took a swing at you with the rolling pin?

This crudder has a had busy few days - A day at the place with the big planes last Wednesday then a couple of days in That London for a team meeting and our departmental Christmas shindig. A trip down to West Wales to visit the old man on Saturday and watch the rugby with him. It's his 81st birthday on Tuesday so I felt honour-bound to make an effort. Yesterday started with peddling, followed by loafing, followed by popping along to watch my local regional rugby team actually win a match!
I had today off so SWMBO and I spent the day in Cardiff failing to buy any Christmas presents. We did however have successful breakfast and lunch, so I am calling it a win.

Now trying to motivate The Boy to get on with writing his personal statement for UCAS. I think I may have to either motivate him harder (i.e. rant and rage at him) or just ignore him and let him feck it up all on his own. Bloody kids!

    Evening bollock heads,

Just got home on the bike and now in need of a shower, food and wine. A minion resigned today but we're going to make him a counter offer tomorrow, CBA to go recruiting again.

On the good new side, the EPO has relented and given out some dates when I can go skiing so just seeing if any if the usual suspects can make it. Yay.

You just can't get the staff these days.

Wasn’t impressed, so didn’t feel guilty when she tidied up after me when she got back

She's been dead 21 years - might be a bit like one of those zombie movies.

Afternoon Slackers, my counter offer to the minion who resigned worked and they're back on board with a grateful smile on their face (and relief on mine, didn't fancy trying to recruit so close to Christmas). That's my work done here so I'll bog off home for a drink :)

Evening uphill gardeners and lucky Pierre,
Been busy again, having to make my own tea is a struggle. Thankfully admin assistant was back today. Wobbled in to work but thankfully had to leave the bike there and take the freshly fettled Mini home. Mercifully it ran really well and I only have a few jobs to do on it. As today is Wednesday I shall be visiting a pub and drinking beer, lots of beer.

Spare a thought for Hoppy who is probably being forced to neck Absolut Vodka while surrounded by blonde Swedish beauties.

    Wey hey, the lads.

By all the gods it has been windy and wet today. I was contemplating a night ride but there is no way I am going outside this evening. In the house where it is warm and dry is where I am staying.

Of course you will. You'll be back in Blighty after the Frogs boot you out. Look on the bright side though: you might have a blue passport.
