Afternoon diggers of very large ditches,
Or is that just going to be bg? I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
Busy day in the orifice, trying to act like I know what I'm doing is exhausting. Had to drive the Mrs in to her work again today so no wobbling for me today.
Out for a pizza with the family tonight as the lad is around, fortunately the pizza is in a pub. Unfortunately as the Mrs is still a raspberry I have to drive.

Welcome back. Hopefully that's a child and you haven't married an angry dwarf, at least children heal fast. Don't know about dwarves.
I tend to come back from holidays feeling optimistic only to have my optimism shattered within moments as well.

On train home after a busy day to see why my own angry dwarf managed to trigger the burglar alarm. It's not like the number is hard for her to forget either

    Morning, dwarf-tossers.

Another day in Paradise to look forward to here in The Promised Land.
Ha. Who am I kidding? Nothing but banality and irritation is more like it.

It is indeed a child. It was her idea to go ice skating and she was only on the rink for about 2 minutes before falling, poor thing. We have to take her to fracture clinic tomorrow for a scan. I am hoping it isn't too bad and will heal ok without the need for surgery.

Is it the first 4 digits of her birthday?

It is indeed related to her birthday so only a complete ****ing moron would get it wrong...anyhow she'd sorted it and reset the system with the alarm company by time I got home.

Longish day with cycling at either end so I am now in need of food and drink!

    Hola Banditos,

Over the hump now and less crap than usual at work so I'll call that a win. Just trying to negotiate skiing getaway dates with the EPO, so best don the flakjacket...

    Bon courage Stevo

    Evening douchebags,

Rubbish day here that has just finished with a flourish, found out that one of the old dears really old friends is going to make it for the funeral tomorrow, long story short, her and her rapidly increasing family are on more benefits than the queen, father had no love for them. Going to be funny as one brother is not a fan so I'll be getting booze down his neck.

    Onwards to family fighting!

He'll be OK in France I guess. (I practice what I preach as I'm out for a beer in London in 30 mins :) )

    Happy Friday, piggy meat lovers.

Just had my fill of pig-related foodstuffs so now it's time for caffeine.

Hope everything went as well as can be hoped for yesterday, bg13.

I went to a talk by the most lovely Professor Alice Roberts last night. She does it for me and I had trouble concentrating at times. I recommend her to the house. If you get a chance to see her giving a presentation go for it. You can thank me later.

Onwards. To caffeine, bullshit and writing pointless documents that no one will ever read...

    Evening worms foods,

Thanks for messages team, means a lot that my virtual chums care.

All went ok, had em standing in the aisles at the crematorium, no major family fighting occurred which is a win though it would have been funny! Didn't really manage too much boozes but I'll remedy that when i get home.

Mmmm Alice Roberts, was she dancing around a pole Jba?

Have a bon weekend weird uns.

Another week another dollar or something like that. Now slobbing at home while it tanks down and blows a hoolies outside. Cider may feature.

    Morning bumders

    Glad things went ok BG.

This week has been chaos in the lab at uni each day up to the point where I say fuck it, then I go off ride my bike, take my frustration out on everyone in the CGs for a couple of hours, before going home and having beers. Then repeating each day until yesterday when I made a break for it back to Englandlshire for the weekend.

This weekend will involve riding bikes in the Peak District and catching up on all the emails I ignored last week. Which is many.

Post birthday foggy head, which isn’t good as the plan was a chilled night as we are having a party. Set up a bar for the eldest to run, it could be painful

    Cheers Mr A Bird.

Same here my perpetually refreshed chum!
    Happy birthday to yooooooo!

    Afternoon packers of the fudge!

Early flight back to France as long as Ryansair are allowed to land there! Bags are packed so i'm ready to go.
Just got some last minute admin to do for the old dear and a family meal at a local establishment to get through and i shall be back in the shyte with the mrs for some reason or other. I fancy i'm not driving this afternoon so more than a couple will be consumed.

Have a good trip back to Garlicville bg. Hopefully you'll be allowed back in next time you come over.

Ordinary day here - just been picking up dog sh1ts from the back garden while it's still light, otherwise its like a bloody minefield at night! May tune into some footy shortly.

    Evening uphill gardeners,
Glad it all went smoothly bg, shame about the lack of entertainment.
Reasonably quiet day today after a long day traipsing around the NEC yesterday. Had a couple of meetings arranged in bars but after a screw up by the car hire firm we had to take my motor so muggins here had to drive back.
Hope you’ve had a good birthday TLW, at least you’re not as old as bg.
2018 has carried on in it’s hateful way, I found out a friend’s wife popped her clogs yesterday, mid 40s with a six year old son. Utterly dreadful, she’d been fighting terminal cancer for a couple of years.
Off to see the brother in law tomorrow, he’s now bed bound as the cancer in his spine has paralysed him. All a bit grim.

    Morning wonkers,

    Certainly had better years!

Currently sat in the holding pen at East Mids airport awaiting the cattle truck to deliver me home. Hopefully i'll have a decent lottery win in the bag before the next trip and i'll be able to afford to go through the airport drop off zone and not have to walk a few hundred meters in the rain! Maybe need the lottery win to be a double rollover before i can manage a cuppa air side!
Not happy leaving the old dear on her own but that time had to come, family now need to step up.

Onwards to garlic, red wine and gallic shrugs

    Afternoon Gimps,

Now bg is back in France, can we close the border early? :)

There's a fair bit of footy on today so will be trying to keep tabs on that via interweb and car radio. Got a trip to Prague this week for a 2 day tax convention (read Jolly) - beats working, which is what the minions will be doing more of while I'm away.

    Plus potatoes, lots of them.

Hope you got back ok bg. Not that I care, we just feel safer with you out of the country.
Made it to see the brother in law, he said he’d see us at Christmas. I’m not convinced but we have to stay positive, when he’s in earshot at any rate.
I know what you mean about leaving the old dear bg, I get a minor version of that every time I leave her in the house on her own.
Anyway, TLW has survived his pickling. I’m drinking tonight and back to the grindstone tomorrow.
