    Morning bourneville boulevardeers,
Lazy morning here, lots to do but really cba as Sunday is a day of rest. Might tinker with bikes though.
Found out yesterday my year from hell is finishing with a kick in the tail. Three funerals in the week before Christmas, two on the Friday. At least I know my whistle fits.
Heavy drinking over the Christmas break seems in order.

    Yo, yo, yo, pillow munchers.
Small and Shouty had 7 other small and shouty girls for a birthday sleep-over last night. There was not much sleeping done though.
After a bit of a lie in I’m out on the bike to try and blow the cobwebs away. The wind is certainly blowing as well.

It seems Stropteen survived her first driving lesson yesterday so now I have to shell out a load of cash for more lessons and look for a suitable small cheapo tin box that she can transport herself round in when she passes her test

At least I've knocked most of my Crimbo cards on the head which is good to get out of the way.

We all do work, just some of us get paid for it

Checked the price of Stropteen's car insurance once she's passed her test and it looks like it'll be her biggest ever Christmas present...ho hum. I'll just buy her a cheaper car to make up for it :)

The boy has got his practical test next week. I am dreading the insurance premium.

    How goes it, spazwangles?
Nothing to report of any note here. Another day of dreariness in the office compiling documents that will enable a manager to tick a box but will probably never actually be read by anyone.

No change from £1,500 apparently. And that's with one of those Big Brother black boxes. If not, add a grand

I'll be in France for a bit of skiing next month bg. The travel agent said the France was a real riot - I assume he was referring to the night life. Is it true that if you wear a yellow vest you can get away with anything you like? Could be time for a Crudders convention at Chateau bg :)

You're not allowed to mention skiing! As I won't be going..................again!

    Evening 'kintwatbags,

I take it all members of BR will don their virtual yellow jackets to demonstrate the removal of certain threads! Poor excuse for the removal of the threads i thought!

Diy shizzle for me again today, more tomorrow! Though i did sneeze and pull a muscle in my back I soldiered on!

Rugby on Friday and much booziness this weekend.

    Evening 'kintwatbags,

Excuse me! This is an all-inclusive*, family-friendly forum. I assume you meant to write 'copulatingvaginabags'?

    Afternoon, worm charmers.
I am still smashing out documents that no one will read, but they are mighty fine regardless.
Going to spend the afternoon doing as little work as possible as I shall be searching the interwebses for holiday ideas for next summer and possibly a ski deal for February.

bg13 - re. the bad back: take 2 brufen, shut up and get on with it. No need to thank me. It's a public service.

*No meals, accommodation or drinks are included though. Nor are flights, transfers or executive hand relief.

Evening Mongs - where is everybody? Even bg had yesterday off, maybe he was busy rioting. Anyhow, Christmas related jobs are all done for today so I'm cracking open a cold cider while Strifey gets dinner ready :)

    Evening bumders

Week of playing on the mountain bike mixed with working. Half of it was great fun (not the working half).

Today has involved windy bikes and beer. I heard cider is for girls??

If it's served in halves or that shyte fruity cider it is.

My kid is now seriously looking at applying for vet school next year. Should I put her off?

No if it’s what she wants to do let her do to. If she ends up not liking it there’s plenty else she can do with the degree that it won’t have been a waste of time.

Past couple of months I've been doing some locum work alongside the PhD and it's a lot more fun when it's on your terms and the rates are really decent.

    Morning bumders

Today I'm out with the cycling club, having some revenge on people who've annoyed me this year. I've chosen the route and it's set to be 80 miles of brutal hill, not a flat bit to be had anywhere.

    Morning wanglers of spaz,
Went to Brum and survived, so I consider that a win. Lad said he wants to get into more downhill mountain biking, this is good but could prove expensive. Daughter is out on her first driving lesson, also good and definitely expensive.
Off to see the old dear for lunch shortly, she’s off to Spain on Wednesday for the Christmas break with my sisters. Didn’t want to stay at home without the old man this year. Probably a good thing and it’ll save me worrying about her. Brother in law’s funeral tomorrow which will be a bit tough.
Make sure stropteen doesn’t go to vet school in Welsh Wales, I hear some of the phd types are a bit iffy to say the least.

I have quite a few bits of downhill related kit that I'm trying to get shot of - although most of it is unlikely to be the right size.

Luckily there are no vet schools in Wales, maybe they have something more sheep specific over that way?

There are no vet schools in Wales yet, first intake 2020 apparently although still quite unofficial.

Where will that be? Junior will be a 2020 intake if she gets a place.
