    Morning twerkers and twisters.

It's raining again here in The Promised Land but I'm not complaining. It's very welcome after the hot weather we have had and is helping to revive the gardens and damp down the fires on Twmbarlwm and at Cwmcarn.

I had an extremely chilled day yesterday. Took The Boy for a driving lesson, fettled the hardtail and then watched Le Tour. By the time that finished dinner was ready. Scoffed that, watched a film with the family, watched an episode of 'Designated Survivor' and went to bed. Today Iam feeling refreshed.

Thanks, chap. He has been moved to a nursing home about 20 miles closer to home now. That makes things much easier for my mum as it is now only a 10 minute drive rather than 40 minutes.
He is pretty much bed-bound at the moment but will get much better care and physio in the nursing home so hopefully they can get him shuffling about before too long.

That's good JBA, hope things get better for him as a result. Must confess I was worried TLW was enquiring about your obvious. Unfortunately my old man is back in hospital this morning, now waiting on updates from my sister.
Managed to wobble in to work this morning, it was quite pleasant and nobody tried to kill me. Reasonably dull day at work, would actually prefer it if it was busier at the moment. Supposed to be out for beer and pizza with some friends that are over from France later.
    Onwards and upwards...

Still at work as waiting for people who can't give timely feedback  Hopefully won't be much longer as I'm getting hungry again and its an hours ride home.

JBA, being close by is pretty important as I've found out to my cost.

    Evening chumpy wumpies!

Diy day here so I'm feeling quite old! Watched that Mama Mia film this afternoon, couldnt get out of it.......honest.

My father is also in hospital, getting his moneys worth out of the NHS, definitely more of a worry being distant, brother and mother give updates but I'd rather be there for the old boy.

It certainly is, Stevo. Takes a lot of pressure and stress off my mum. It’s still 100 miles away from me but I don’t have to visit every day like she does. I’ll be back down there on Saturday.

Must be a worry for you, bg13. At least your dad has family close so he isn’t alone for too long.

Can we form a ‘My Old Man Is In Hospital’ support group?
We can sit around drinking booze and feeling slightly guilty together.

I could join your hospital group as an honorary member as my old dear seems to get admitted once in a while, usually when she forgets to hold onto her Zimmer.

Morning drinkers of fruit based drinks for the laydees and JBA,
Failed in the beer and pizza outing last night so just had beer when I got home instead. This was followed by a shhot night's kip and being woken at 5 by next door's kids screaming. Deep joy. Didn't hear the harridan at least. Today will consist of doing my utmost to be mediocre, I say my utmost I mean barely lifting a finger. Didn't even wobble in as I have to collect the EPO later. Good news is it's cake day, woohoo!

Good shout JBA, although my old man would be in the Okey Cokey version. He's in, out, in and out. Not much of the shaking it all about at least. They let him go home last night after keeping him in for the day. My elder sister that lives in Italy came over while we were on holiday as I'd called her up and asked her to. If she hadn't done that I was considering going back myself at one point. Younger sister means well but would end up stressing the old dear more. It seems we are needed for supporting the old dear more than anything, she's struggling with it all at the moment.

Busy day, so will be going home soon for a drink. Meant to be off mountain biking tomorrow bit before I go I've got a conference call with the big bosses in the morning. Bah. In other news my kid went up to the West End with her mates and managed to bag a selfie with Jordan Pickford.

Morning travellers on the Bourneville boulevard,
It was actually almost chilly riding in this morning, there was a slight ground mist in the park. nice and sunny though and it will warm up later.
Today being Wednesday I will of course be off to the pub, we are going early as we are eating there as well. Tomorrow morning could be a struggle.
Last time I drove the groom to a wedding the day after a stag do my doctor friend was trying to hook me up to a saline drip to sober me up. Unfortunately I'd missed all the good drugs he had but as I was driving an old taxi there was enough head room to set up the drip. It was only when we realised that steering would be tricky hooked up to a drip that we gave up on the idea. That was a very messy stag/wedding combo, bloody good fun though.

    Afternoon fistees,

Had an afternoon soirée with the locals yesterday where i tried to drink all the red wine! Went to help take down the marquee this morning and got invited to help finish what i failed to finish yesterday! So the rest of this afternoon i will mostly be in the hammock!

Sort of. He was the bloke standing in front of the England goal in Russia. Stropteen spotted him with his burd doing some shopping in Selfridges and clearly he was so bored that he agreed to let her take a selfie with him in it.

Had a good day down at Bedgebury doing some mountain biking  First time in 9 months and I was crap. Also might have got sunburn. Now relaxing with some grape based Italian drink.

    bg13's wee wee?!

    Morning, golden shower lovers.

After a relatively enjoyable day out* yesterday at another site I am back in the office today and actively shirking. This is an acquired skill that requires the shirker to appear busy and productive to the casual observer whilst doing bugger all. Something I am sure my fellow crudders are adept at.

It was SWMBO's birthday yesterday and she declared she wanted a take away in the evening so we had some friends over and ordered a metric fu*kton of Chinese grub. I think I went in to MSG overload and couldn't stop scoffing even when I knew I was full. It was great. :) I am feeling a tad lethargic now though.

Onwards! To mediocrity and thoughts of summer holidays (in 9 days)...

BG is a cheese eating surrender monkey now. I suppose there is some similarity as both are Southern European countries that are not very good at winning wars :)

At work and aching a bit after a gruelling XC marathon round Bedgebury yesterday. Out tonight for a free dinner and plonk in return for me giving some wise words to people following in my not so hallowed career footsteps. It's a hard life.

    Evening confused Europeans,

I obviously wouldn't wee on any of you, even if you were on fire!

Anyhoo, redders here again so did a tip run, primed some more floor and hid from the sun! Just had lush pig curry and now watching shyte on the telly box.

Now I'm off to smash some plates!

    Good day tw@s,

Been shifting some rubble and discovered a bee's nest in the rubble, how lucky thought I, as some of them stung me! Barstewards!
Anyhoo, as it's Fryday i will be stacking early, which is tricky as I haven't really started. Gite guests have gone and the pool is ready for some running, bombing, heavy petting etc etc

    Afternoon freaks

Lots of bacon for lunch today, sat in the office "working" which has become slightly more productive now le Tour has finished. Later will feature beer and bikes.

BG just don't get stung inside your mouth, happened to me a couple of weeks ago, not known pain like it for a long time.

I thought french bees would have surrendered immediately.

Last nights steak was a good 'un especially as it was free. The wine and dessert wine wasn't bad either. Pity I CBA to cycle in today so will have to brave the sweatpit of the tube and South Easter railways later on. On the plus side there's lots of nice scenery out today :)

Do you have an unwell elderly relative? This has now become a support group for said individuals.
Not that I know who you are, but "working" in an office sounds unlikely for a student. Is it code for drinking in the SU bar?

    Anyway, afternoon stingers and stingees,
Glorious day down here, at least it would be if I was in a pub rather than working. Just been to the cafe and consumed huge amounts of fried dead pig, well it is Fryday. Now sat in the office feeling grateful for the air con. Lots of people asking why my bike is behind me, after two bikes being nicked and having seen the size of the cnuts bolt croppers on CCTV that's where my bike will stay until they come up with a better solution.
The old man yo-yo'd back into hospital, I think that's his third time this week. Went in last night and they kept him in. Hopefully they will get somewhere and send him home for the weekend. Instead of the pub I may have to pedal to Tooting and pay him a visit if not.
Have a good weekend and try not to get caught.

Fark off I've been working* goddammit.

I'm lucky to have a nice private office** so I can keep the bike in here, not that I'd be worried about it being nicked if I left it outside around here. My front door was left open, yes open, as in wide, when we went away on holiday and nothing got nicked at all, in fact in my old flat I used to leave it open all the time and all that would ever go missing is any food that the neighbours dog managed to snaffle.

Hope all the old people are relatively alright. I do have an elderly relative who I visited a few days ago, apparently she's got several forms of cancer along with a list of other ailments, although her doctor disagrees with her on all counts although he is himself suffering from a pain in the arse.
