    How was BPW?

Lots of jobs done today so I'm now resting with a spot of grog in my hand ready for the week ahead...pedalling tomorrow too so I need so load up with energy so I'm told. The only downer of the day is that the midgies are out in force and one of the little bastards has got me on the ankle which now itches like fark.

It was great, thanks. Had a cracking day. It's the first time I have been when it wasn't raining or a mud bath. Managed to get 6 uplifts in plus a peddle up from the bottom of Hot Stepper, which was about right as I was starting to get very tired and making little mistakes. Thought it best not to do that "one last run" as the chances are the little mistakes would turn in to big mistakes.

Took a mate who only started mountain biking about a year ago and he was quite nervous to start so we stuck to blue and blue+ runs in the morning. After lunch though his confidence was up and we did all the reds apart from Root Manoeuvres and Bonneyville.

A short ride yesterday and a ride up to Cwmcarn and doing the first half of the Torch trail this afternoon has farked me though. Medicinal red wine is now being imbibed.

    Evening walkers,

Feeling slightly second hand after yesterday afternoons excesses, topped it up this afternoon at a friends party. Tomorrow I'm up the ladder again finishing off the guttering that was started last week.

I must get involved in some of that mountain biking stuff, it sound fun!

Nice one. Not sure when I'll get back there as shoulder still has some way to go to be back to normal. Enter The Dragon owes me big time!

You should, bg. It can be quite entertaining.

I stay well clear of those black runs. I'm too old, too slow and it takes too long to heal at my age. And they scare me!

Today I am going to do my best to avoid any real work by printing off and filing stuff and making myself look busy. Hopefully the deception will work and I will be left alone.

I learnt the hard way last October - ruptured a tendon in my right shoulder on ETD. 3 months post op and still not back on a MTB. I could go back in a few months but have to have a good long think about fun vs risk. Might end up doing like you and sticking to reds even if I am going to look like a complete t1t in full body armour :)

    Evening gimps,
Far too much bother from customers at work today, many of them were hard of thinking which didn’t help. I’m particularly tired and grumpy after muctbeer over the weekend, I feel like I could be 50 it’s that bad.
Back to the pub shortly for more beer festival with entertainment in the guise of Morris men, not very entertaining but an excuse to go to the pub.

If there's one thing a woman can't stand, it's the sight of a man doing absolutely nothing :)

No meetings at work today so quite relaxed. However I can feel the anticipation building on here as one forumite hovers on the threshold of oldfartdom :P

Morning purchasers of counterfeit and totally untraceable money,

Definitely feeling old here today, not V68 old but old!

Bit of a grey looking day here so I'll have some breakfast and await instruction from management as to how my day will pan out!
I think there will be a purchase of some more chickens this week so there'll be some prep for their arrival.

    Morning, young uns.

Looking at big planes and where they live again today. It’s blooming windy in the hangar roof!

It was a 5.30am start for me so I am ready to pack up and fark off for the long drive home.
Early starts make me feel old.

Thought it was today? Oh well, you get wishes happy birthday twice in that case...

Good breakfast seminar was had - two bacon butties, a sausage butty and some dull stuff on Brexit. Didn't need to buy lunch today, so will spend it on drink tonight :)

Been out for a cheeky couple of after work beers and now headed home to get fed. Strifey had better have left me some dinner as I'm starved!

Tomorrow is a half day as I'm going to a free industry lunch, read p1ss up :)

Layabouts and shizzle kings. How are you all?

Easy day today for this man. A visit to a place in that England this morning then an early stack and home in time for tea and tiffin.

What's happening with the weather? We seem to be having alternating days of glorious sunshine and pi$$ing down rain. I am not amused.

Oh it was on Wednesday, the hangover on Thursday made me feel even older though.
Quite a busy day yesterday, got taken to the movies with the family last night. Amazing technology, not only do they have moving pictures but they actually have people talking as well. It's not like when bg was a lad.
More than a little moist out there this morning so I thought it was a good opportunity to drive in. Have to look after my tired old joints in my dotage.
Thank fark it's Fryday, I shall be eating my bodyweight in dead pig later. Later still will be a pub. Woohoo!

We used to have intervals during the films called intermissions where you could buy ice cream and there was a pianist who rose from the ground with his massive organ! Aye, them were the days.
    Happy belated birthday you K.O.S!

    Belated Happy Birthday.

Just wait until you see a film in colour. It’s all the rage now and will blow your mind.

I can remember the intermission and the icecream lady also selling cigarettes. Fark me, that was some time ago.

The smoking side of the cinema was like watching a film in fog. My kids would be horrified if they saw that.
