    You mean Newport? :)

    No. The Big Capital City.

A trip to West Wales to visit the elderly parents happened today. Chips were eaten on the sea front cos it’s the law.

Home now and settling down to watch the Masterchef final with a bottle of plonk.

Just watched that as well. Pity I can't cook for sh1t.

Great fun day today seeing auctioneers to see what stuff in my folks house is auctionable rather than charity shoppable. Then more fun trying to choose a grave stone. Drink deserved and needed!

    Evening fiddlers,
Busy day of doing stuff in warm air that was outside and not artificially heated, can’t remember the last time it was that warm and sunny. I could get used to that.

    Hello, chutney ferrets.

Today I rode a bike. In the rain. As if that wasn't bad enough, it was a road bike.
It was for charidee, great mates, so I hope I can be forgiven.

Yesterday the Dragons managed to turn a HT lead of 26-10 in to a final score loss of 34-32, to bloody Zebre! It takes a special kind of pathetic to do that.

I reckon TLW has competition on the forum alcoholic front :)

Evening All, a day of not much today as I couldn't be bothered after all the running around up North. It's a 5 day week this week so need to build up my energy...

    Evening dingleberries,
Day of minor pottering followed by visit to the ‘rents. Went for a drink with older sister, although she’s not as old as bg, in the boozer I used to work in when I was 18. Still had some of the regulars from then in there. Wobbled back on the pub hack and realised the new chain will need new cassette and rings before it will play nicely. Old chainset making it tricky so might have to buy a new one.

    Not a chance.

    Evening jockeys,

Back to work tomorrow after a week off being a lazy biffer. Riding bikes for a couple of days trying to burn off the vast quantities of meat and cheese that i've devoured this week.

Hopefully the minions haven't destroyed the place while I've been gone, but I envisage my joyful return lasting all of 5 minutes before I want to strangle someone.

    Evening fellow alkies,

An easy day here, got measured up for windows and doors in the project house, moved some building blocks and strimmed with the new strimmer.

Hot here tomorrow though I wouldn't be surprised if it rained or even snowed!

    Toodles.

    Hi de hi perverts,

Recovering from actually having to cycle to and from work. I deserve a drink for all that effort. In between was delegating to minions and abusing auditors.

Not as much fun now that abusing minions is frowned upon.
I got told off for asking the pretty temp in accounts if she fancied a quickie at lunchtime the other day. Not sure anyone believed me when I claimed I’d mispronounced quiche. At least she found it funny.

Surely you could just get away with it by claiming to be Italian? :)

I remember we had a very good looking French teacher at school (she was French). One of the lads in class found a screw on the floor that had come out of one of the desks. He held it up, looked her in the eye asked asked her if she wanted a screw.

    Evening bagsofshyte,

How does grass grow so quickly? Blinkin stuff has taken my whole day a mowing and a strimming. Not easy in the blazing sunshine!
Helping install guttering on a barn tomorrow.

Yep, got mine cut today. Well Strifey did as I was at work dishing out pay rises to minions and taking the credit for it with Norky Minion and Cute Minion. I only recruit the best talent :)

Now supping cider after doing some Dads taxi work.

Gardeners of the uphill variety, I bid you good morning.

Today is my Friday. Bikepark Wales tomorrow for some gravity assisted shenanigans.

Yesterday the fine weather prompted the current MrsJBA to ‘encourage’ me to mow the lawns. What a PITA that was, but glad I did it as they now look less jungly.

Onwards! To caffeine, shirking and deflecting attention.

Working at home today unfortunately not enjoying much sunshine but it's been quite a relaxed day. The hound doesn't seem to get the idea that if you lie in the sun you get very hot.

JBA - enjoy BPW. Although I prefer it when its not hot as body armour + FF lid = a right sweaty mess for me.

Boring day at work so best try to forget about it by supping some plonk while sitting out and enjoying the tropical heat of Bromley :)
