Are they doing a women's team as well?
Bravo!
Astana has a women's team. Sky doesn't.
Just sayin' :?
Kazakhstan is a secular state. 25% of the lower house is female. Women's equality is enshrined in law.
Bahrain operates under Sharia LawIt's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0 -

Yeah, we can tell from the riders being popped
I only know of Antoshina (Russian) they had already sacked. Do you know of anymore?0 -
How will the women's team ever be successful? Women are allowed to drive. Clearly a Saudi Arabian team will get more practice and win all the races. :? :roll:PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230

Nibala really does follow the money, irrespective of a teams morals. IMO.0

Well, he is a professional cyclist, not a moral philosopher last time I checked.0

But you don't need to be a moral philosopher to see that this is an obvious attempt to sportswash Bahrain's horrific human rights situation.
That being said, if you're a journeyman cyclist struggling for a gig it's difficult to let ethics be a major factor in your decision. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

Bit harsh, I doubt many people would let the human rights record of these kind of states stop them taking a lucrative job offer. I mean wasn't it the Saudis who helped them crush pro democracy demonstrations probably using weapons sold them by the UK.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -

I guess the surprise is cos of the whole blood passport debacle but seems like a good plan to me. He can give the benefit of his considerable experience to Chavez and Yates and I guess will be allowed off the leash properly for races he feels like he can win.
Seems like a good move to meWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I know it's a fairly amateur web person taking care of it for them who hasn't worked on any cycling projects before.
