He left CA because they folded and spent 8 years at AG2R... not quite the journeyman you're implying...
Bernie left Sky last year for the same reason, non? No Tour...0 -

Yeppa. Took a little pay cut in the process IIRC, but riding the Tour again meant more0 -
Stijn Vandenbergh to AG2R according to Patrick Leferve.
That'll go well.0 -
I should add that it's looking likely that Phil Gilbert will be riding in Etixx colours next season.0

Yes. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing. He really needs a change though.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Have Gilbert as the leader at MSR and give him a free role at Flanders. Then if he's still got form, have him as a wildcard in the Ardennes.0
-
Gibert and Martin and Alaphillippe for the Ardennes.
Super Sep and Boonen and Terpstra and Vandenberge for the cobbles
Etixx are going to do well to cock up April 2017 as badly as 2016.0 -

He's 34 and has barely registered for the last couple of seasons. I can't see him bringing anything to Etixx that they haven't got in abundance already.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Re MSR, I'll just leave this name here:
Gaviria0 -

Etixx are going to do well to fool up April 2017 as badly as 2016.
I bet they'll give it a damn good go, though...
Having Gilbert will only add to the general mayhem there. Too many chiefs, which has been their problem for years. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -
Lefevre dropping hints that he only has sponsorship until end of 2017. Coucke sold Omega Pharma (which owns Etixx) in 2014 and I wonder if that had a clause saying that the cycling sponsorship had to continue for two more years. Coucke now has to put his hand in his own pocket if he wants to keep sponsoring... Lefevre has also been muttering about retiring.
Wonder what the future holds for the team post-2017... could make for some interesting transfer moves for 2018...0 -
The team is owned by Zdenek Bakala, no? With Leferve as the manager. Bakala is worth a lot.0

Good point. I'd forgotten about him.
Just reading up on E-QS' board - actually the operating company is called Decolef Lux Sarl.
It's a motley crew:
Owner - Zdenek Bakala - Coal Mining & Media Investments
Chairman - Bessel Kok - Formerly Telecoms Executive and Chess Management
Vice-Chairman - Eddy Merckx
CEO - Patrick Lefevre
Board Member - Hans-Joerg Rudloff - Formerly head of Barclays' Investment Bank
Board Member - Derk Saur - Founder of the Moscow Times and now Deputy Chairman of RBC (Russian Media House)
Board Member - David Paul - Investment manager and CEO of Bakala's family investment fund
Board Member - JP Smith - Presumably not the basketball player...
Secretary-General - Auret van Zyl - Lawyer and Transaction/M&A Manager. Involved in a number of other Bakala entities.0 -
