This has got to be a career ending day for Vayer no? Surely any journo that asks him for a quote now can ONLY be interested in smearing whichever rider the piece is about? Swart has beautifully (and I mean that literally), and totally discredited him. He has shown Vayer up as knowing absolutely nothing about sport science whatsoever.
Remeber all those people that criticised Sky for saying that Training in cycling was poor becasue they had had drugs to hide behind instead? Surely this is a massive confirmation of this statement. Festina pored so much money into their teamwide doping that they were left with Vayer as a trainer. Clearly he can have brought very little to the team.We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence
