I'm now starting to think he didn't have it at all. He'll probably say he had it bad, nobody had it as bad as him but he is so fit and tough he beat it easy. Either that or look, I told you it wasn't that bad.

It's a bit conspiracy nuttish, but not without the realms of possibility. I'd put absolutely nothing past him, in his quest to win the election. One just has to hope that there are enough people who know the truth that stuff will leak, if it is a fabrication.

A bit premature to say he's out of the woods yet.

The demise of Herman Cain would be a case in point.

Just a little reminder of one possibility...

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

  • That was a video of a man trying to chug down oxygen. Anyone with asthma will recognise that breathing. He’s not well at all.

Footage of him posing on the White House balcony.
You can see he is struggling to breathe and trying to hide it too.
As you say, as an asthmatic, a very familiar sight.
But he doesn’t have the pasty washed out look of a couple of days ago.
I believe he has genuinely had it. I don’t think anyone thinks he’s a good actor.

He seems to have spread it to so many people it would be strange if he didn't have it.

Isolation going smoothly at this point in his infection, I see.
  • Pasty face look went once he was allowed his fake tan person in to sort it out. Bit of makeup and fake tan. Anyone will look better for the short period of time needed for a photo or video call. Let's wait to see if there will be another tv debate any time soon.
  • Isn't it good the timeline. Prez plays down virus, gets virus, gets all the best treatment around including stuff that's not available to others yet, starts to feel better, discharges himself then plays down how serious the virus is.

Cue Trumpian followers ignoring even more the precautions needed to deal with the virus and even more deaths coming.

Is trump the most irresponsible president in American history? Is there any contenders close to him? Genuine question to any historians on here who might have a clue on that.

Yep, don't be afraid of it. I feel better than 20 years ago. I'm sure all those Americans with basic or zero health care insurance will have the same access to treatment as he had.

I hadn't seen the balcony video before, I can see his vanity being his downfall. He's falling further behind in the poles though.

Having had Covid an been hospitalised, he's either had it very easy, or that magical cocktail of drugs they pumped him with are masking it. Next week is going to be where it comes in properly. With mine I felt like I had mild flu for the first four five days then pretty much nose dived to barely being able to breathe.

To me, his miraculous recovery is a bit too miraculous. But I guess that's what you get when you have the money cant buy drugs, that or early next week he will be getting admitted again.
That or he stooped so low as to fake a deadly virus in order to try an garner sympathy/votes and use it as a propaganda tool to show the virus is nothing to worry over.

There's still chance for him to REALLY get it.

The older I get, the better I was.

  • The Biden camp should really start running ads with the details of how a study showed 87% of hospitalised coronavirus patients still have some residual symptoms after 3 months.

Contrarian alert, it would be much better if he was properly healthy and properly lost the election.

It would be much better if he wasn't a twat, but you play the cards you're dealt.

And Kellyanne Conway's daughter, who was given CV19 by her mother, might have some inside info:

I wouldn't say that was contrarian. If he has to withdraw due to ill health then it would clearly weaken Biden's presumed victory.

True, though in Biden's favour is the extent to which the GOP has turned into the Trump Party. They'd need a lot of reverse-ferreting to ditch the association.

An ill Trump who refuses to stand aside is probably the best scenario for Biden.

There's a bit of wish casting going on here - it's an 8 second clip of a guy taking a few deep breaths.

If you saw me at the lights this morning for about 8 seconds you'd be saying I was about to die. Felt like it too.

It’s definitely laboured breathing. The neck/jaw tensing and breathing from the top of the chest is a dead giveaway and the first thing I noticed. One of the BBC Breakfast docs just called out the very same observation. As I’ve said previously, it’s something asthma sufferers will recognise.

Time will tell, I guess. I wonder if Herman Cain will tweet his support of Trump...

Look, I too think it is unlikely he's had a great recovery.

I also think it's unlikely that if it were that serious they wouldn't keep him in proper hospital.

But then it was also unlikely he would become president, and unlikely things do happen.

I mean, this is basically diagnosis by 8 second online video.

Might as well take a poll to ask the public how ill Trump is.

When they don't release any reliable information, that's what happens

Sure, but let's be clear, no-one here is posting the video of Trump doing a speech where he says you shouldn't let corona take over you, and he's not in trouble breathing then.

The entire point of the technique trump et al use is to get people to voluntarily ignore what is in front of them - they mess with the idea of reality in order for people to stop believing in reality.

Trump has obviously improved enough to return to the white house. It is a building that has quite a lot of healthcare facilities already. It may have also been kitted out with more specific kit since Trump has been away.

If he was really dying or getting worse, he wouldn't have returned.

There's quite a big part of me that would like to see him succumb to it, if i'm honest. I remember saying to my wife 6 months ago it'd save a lot of lives in the US, by all accounts. If we're being rational though, it's better if he gets better.

It's like all the chat about him and his wife. All these video clips showing how Melania doesn't like him, as it plays into the narrative he's really that awful.

Only the most well respected washington post journo did a deep dive into it and it's quite clear they have an unusual relationship but she really does love him.

    It's just partisan wish-casting.
