I find that balcony footage bizarre, almost an allegory for an America in decline. A man trying to look strong but his bulk just makes him look bloated, the hair and fake tan can't disguise a serious underlying illness.

Then the salute, who is he saluting, he dodged military service so...is it just something to do with his hands because it looks awkward just standing there like a rock singer might play air guitar during a solo, and we know that while a salute is meant to show respect presumably for the nation the whole charade is about trying to get the nation to respect him.

  • I mean, this is basically diagnosis by 8 second online video.

Might as well take a poll to ask the public how ill Trump is.

When they don't release any reliable information, that's what happens
Sure, but let's be clear, no-one here is posting the video of Trump doing a speech where he says you shouldn't let corona take over you, and he's not in trouble breathing then.

The entire point of the technique trump et al use is to get people to voluntarily ignore what is in front of them - they mess with the idea of reality in order for people to stop believing in reality.

Trump has obviously improved enough to return to the white house. It is a building that has quite a lot of healthcare facilities already. It may have also been kitted out with more specific kit since Trump has been away.

If he was really dying or getting worse, he wouldn't have returned.

There's quite a big part of me that would like to see him succumb to it, if i'm honest. I remember saying to my wife 6 months ago it'd save a lot of lives in the US, by all accounts. If we're being rational though, it's better if he gets better.

It's like all the chat about him and his wife. All these video clips showing how Melania doesn't like him, as it plays into the narrative he's really that awful.

Only the most well respected washington post journo did a deep dive into it and it's quite clear they have an unusual relationship but she really does love him.

    It's just partisan wish-casting.

It is a military hospital and he is CiC so I he outranks them and can come and go as he pleases

Dont forget, it's a military hospital, he is the CiC, so he gives the orders. Hes gone home but have to go back in a few days.

I honestly couldn't care less whether he lives or dies. Currently, he's clearly not at death's door, because he is walking unaided and isn't on extra oxygen all the time. However, as he's been hospitalised, he is more likely to suffer ongoing symptoms than if he'd had a mild dose. That's quite important in an election where he has constantly tried to make Biden out as frail.

It seems likely that he's the one who has been passing it around, and also that he had a positive test before the debate with Biden, and said he was negative. That's reprehensible.

You don't need to persuade me he's a sh!t. I have more contempt for him than pretty much anyone on here.

I've been reading up about about disinformation tactics etc, and the more I read the more I see those tactics in what Trump etc does, that's all.

I've been as guilty as anyone in falling for this stuff - i'm not above it.

I'm just wondering who on here deserves more contempt than Trump... ;)
  • He is a piece of work...

Saying that people should not fear because medicine is on top of it, when he knows perfectly well that the majority won't be able to afford the treatments he had...

Ha, if we include self loathing it's a fairly short list.

Trump says he wants to do the debate on the 15th without any changes or extra health measures - it's fairly transparent he's trying to get Biden to cancel.

Biden should challenge him to a treadmill challenge. 🤣🤣🤣
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

If I were Biden I'd just go ahead and do the debate, NHS advice is to isolate for at least 10 days after the onset of symptoms so it's likely Trump will not be infectious by then, if he ever was of course.

I agree, as long as he isn't still symptomatic - and I'd make sure to be well away from any of his entourage. They are riddled.

    Trump is a thunderbird puppet,
    team America, F- yeah!
  • The footage of him on the balcony clearly showed him gasping like a fish on the bank of a river. He will be at the critical day seven today or tomorrow. That’s when infected / people’s immune systems go into overdrive, and they tend to die.
  • This is all overblown. Of those who go into hospital, most do not die, and even fewer than in the first wave. He didn't require ventilation, and had the best care available (we assume).

You should post that in the Coronavirus thread KG ;)

I think the Dexamethasone and Remdesivir will dull the immune response which generally has been the issue, an then the Regeneron they dosed him with will give the correct immune response.
Him stating he feels 20 years younger is likely the steroids he's been dosed up with, that and the usual highly heated air he exhales infecting all around him.

If he does go down again I would imagine he will insist on initially keeping it quiet until he has to be moved to a proper medical facility, odds on it'll be something like Pneumonia.
Gasping wise he probably still has reduced lung capacity (I did for months after) so he probably should be on nasel tubes to help bring up his Oxygen levels.

Statistics say he's likely to have ongoing issues for months though. So not all bad news.

Wow. Trump's Twitter feed at the moment is evidence of what happens at the intersection of steroids, Adderall, malignant narcissism, and imploding poll numbers, and the prospect of losing Presidential power & legal immunity.

If it were just a member of the public, you'd be worried about them, but he's still President of the United States...

Yet another post Twitter has flagged as being a lie...

  • Second debate moves to virtual for safety reasons and Trump pulls out.

I see his latest ploy is to try to bribe the electorate with being provided with the same treatments, not yet approved by the regulator, that he was given and that they won't have to pay for them.
