  • On how the Soviet Union became Russia
“Russia used to be the Soviet Union. Afghanistan made it Russia, because they went bankrupt fighting in Afghanistan,” Trump said.

You missed out the followup to this which is even more astonishing:
    Trump wrote:
The reason Russia was in Afghanistan was because terrorists were going into Russia. They were right to be there.

I know what you mean, but it's not astonishing in the sense that Trump is toeing the Russian-Putin party line consistently in all matters.

Whichever way you look at it, he's way beyond the point at which he should be removed from being President: either he's utterly in the pocket of foreign entities, or he's simply mentally unfit, (or both).

Even just in his body and verbal language, you can see him struggling to appear remotely cogent - it's taking all his effort just to string a sentence together. All that's missing is that look that Eric Morecambe used to give when he'd been found out... but he'd not do that, as it reveals the ability to reflect.

when he said “I was here on Christmas evening. I was all by myself in the White House — it’s a big, big house — except for the guys on the lawn with machine guns,” he leaves no doubt as to his mental age

Makes him sound like a modern version of home alone. Do we get some bumbling criminals that try breaking in? Pick two Democrats and give them beanie hats and a knackered van.

Also for a supporter of the NRA hes very naive on what firearms are being openly carried by the protection around him.

As a well known gangster, I'm surprised he didn't say Tommy guns.

I thought the bit after about them not waving to him was more revealing tbh.

He added, “They don’t play games. They don’t like wave. They don’t even smile. But I was there all alone with the machine gunners. I felt very safe. I have to tell you. Great people. There’s a lot of them. But I was hoping that maybe somebody would come back and negotiate.”
yup I guess so, it's difficult to condense down given the amount of childish nonsense he spouts.
in fact it reads like he wanted to play hide and seek or tag with them?

Home Alone 2 I think is the one with a Covfefe cameo.

I can only think of the time he walked up the stairs with loo roll stuck to his shoe, and the time he couldn't work out how umbrellas work and dumped it at the top of the stairs.

I think if they go Dotard impeachment & removal then they won’t worry about Pence. They will be too busy attacking Pence who won’t have much time left to sort things out and no staff to do it.

Now, if Dotard resigns ASAP, the Republicans can say he was hounded out, puts Pence in a stronger position......

It's a slightly more tricky situation to read now that the House is controlled by the Democrats, and how that plays out with Mueller... the House won't want to get in Mueller's way, but they'll still want to do all they can to work out WTH is going on with Trump. Who will actually bring Drumpf to justice?

Good memory, the reasons are explained here https://www.indiewire.com/2018/01/macaulay-culkin-prefers-home-alone-less-trump-1201923586/ who have though, turns out Trump was a narcissist back then! Culkin's comments about it are amusing.

  • Trumps press 'briefing' yesterday reminded me of Comical Ali's press briefing when he declared there were no American tanks in Baghdad despite the obvious gun fire that could be heard. The walls are closing in around Trump so expect his statements to become ever more vainglorious, unhinged and unsubstantiated.

Yesterday also showed when it comes to the art of the deal Trump ain't no poker player. Rather than keep his cards close to his chest and let the Dems have their day he foolishly came out and showed that he doesn't have anything substantive to defend his temper tantrum about a wall.

Pelosi on the other hand is keeping her cards close to her chest. Other than her unequivocal and substabtive statement on a wall she didn't come out and make absolute statements about dethroning Trump by impeachment or indictment or anything else. Whilst Trump might have expected an outright assault from day one Nancy knows she's holding all the aces and knows she doesn't have to reveal them yet. The risk is that the people want results and may become frustrated with a long game strategy.

Is he employing someone to make these posters or is he just liking some demented fan on Instagram?

Along with the poster attacking Sen. Warren he clearly thinks in his vainglorious and unhinged world that these provide good optics. Is there not an adult in the room to tell him to stop posting this juvenile trolling sh1t?

Trump played CNN yesterday, in wanting to upstage pelosis's signing in he call a press briefing (in which it's usual to answer questions), the 3 main news channels CNN, MSNBC and Fox started broadcasting it, as usual MSNBC who have said they will not have Trump propaganda on, cut off as soon as trump got border guards on stage to praise him and his wall. CNN and as you'd expect Fox stayed with it. CNN expecting to ask questions were shocked when he walked out without answering questions. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

@realdonaldtrump - How do you impeach a president who has won perhaps the greatest election of all time, done nothing wrong (no Collusion with Russia, it was the Dems that Colluded), had the most successful first two years of any president, and is the most popular Republican in party history 93%?

As I have stated many times, if the Democrats take over the House or Senate, there will be disruption to the Financial Markets. We won the Senate, they won the House. Things will settle down. They only want to impeach me because they know they can’t win in 2020, too much success!

    really rattled now
