Biased, lying media reporting the WRONG sort of news.

Trump laments that 'two maniacs' stopped GOP momentum in midterms]

I bet he gave this a laugh:

I don't get that - can somebody explain
  • There's a snickers bar ad where there's a rap contest between black rappers but one is hungry so is Elton John. Instead of rapping back he sings candle in the wind or something totally white.

His mates stop him and hand a snickers bat over saying "your not yourself when you're hungry". He eats it then becomes a black rapper who blasts back at his rap opponent with a blistering rap.

The sign is saying give Trump a snickers bar and I hope we'll end up with Obama as president.

Personally I think the result would just be hillary Clinton and USA is not much better off.

So Dump said that "members of the U.S. military sent to the southern border to keep out thousands in a migrant caravan would "fight back" if immigrants throw stones and suggested soldiers might open fire on the group because there's "not much difference" between a rock or gun".

I'd be tempted to volunteer to have a rock thrown at my head if Trump will volunteer to be shot in the head. There's not much difference.

Apart from the fact that if Trump said he'd volunteer he'd be lying.

It doesn't matter to his base
At his rally Wednesday in Estero, Fla., one Trump fan after another explained away the president’s disregard for the truth.

Hope Heisler, an emergency room doctor: “I’m not a fact-checker. All of the candidates, whether they be Republican or Democrat, don’t say things completely accurately all the time. But I trust in President Trump.”

Linda Sears, a housewife: “Presidents should tell the truth, but sometimes they make mistakes. . . . At least Trump tells it like it is. Trump is a truth teller.”

Pat Banker, a retired registered nurse: “I don’t think he lies. He gets excited when he’s talking, and he likes to exaggerate a little bit. But that’s just his way.”

I would definitely get Trump to go first on this as he is not one for following through with promises.

All they need now is another civil war to put the boundaries back in place. The cocktail of ingredients is mixing beautifully.
The 'woolly liberals' can populate the north and the rednecks in the south.

When the rednecks find things are tough financially, they can hire cheap labour from across the Mexican border.

Full circle, with a bit of irony chucked in.

Fantastic victory for Mr Trump in the Mid Terms - a true vindication of common sense, populism and the determination of American citizens for fairness, generosity and open trade. Congratulations to Mr Trump for that GREAT result he has Made America Great.

He should be President for Life, with a hereditary attachment of Presidency to his family in perpetuity.

Britain should become a US federal state and the 'Great' removed from its name and in common with Canada we should be made to speak French. Scotchland can be given the army as a training area.

The theoretical demographic is such that say 60% to 65% of women could vote Democrat. If the remaining male vote votes 50/50, then it could be a crushing mid term for Tronald Dump.

    Just thinking. Just hoping.

May I just take this opportunity to welcome a view as expressed by what I take to be a representative specimen of Trump's support. I feel it is useful to understand what dangers are posed by such misguided opinions unsupported by any reasoning. Odd that there seems to be only one of them.

That's assuming it was meant in all seriousness!

It's an interesting proposition that we should call our land mass just 'Britain' without the 'Great' bit. We could form a union with little Britain (Brittany) and speak Breton, whilst handing Northern Ireland (not British at all) back to the Irish.

As for handing North Britain to the army, my understanding is that the army is predominantly made up of Scots anyway (if not Anglo-Irish). Certainly we could requisition Trump's golf courses in the interests of national security.
  • Then in parts of England there's so many Polish that you could call it Vodkaland then partition that off too.

Start with parts of the west end of morecambe, the only English there used to be druggees and dole scroungers anyway as the largest group after polish!

The mid terms do make me nervous though. Mainly because Americans are involved in it. I think if the votes go against Trump then it will mire the administration and bog them down so much that the eventual outcome will be another republican in a few years time. The fiascos over budgets earlier bodes badly.

Don't worry, there'll be a Democrat to get the finances back in order after another Republican has run wild with the deficit. At that point, Republicans will magically worry about the deficit until there's a Republican in power again.

The joy of this election will be if one of the houses goes Democrat and all of a sudden there's some oversight... new plot lines for the new season.

That's a double negative, but even if it wasn't it doesn't parse in English. You really need to find a better translator.

You'd prefer an all Russian affair? Your man won last time and there were Americans involved, you should have more faith.

Calling it “the biggest disappointment of my political career,” Vladimir Putin conceded late Tuesday night that he had lost control of the United States House of Representatives.
Putin did, however, have harsh words for Donald Trump, who opted for a fear-mongering closing argument about immigration despite the Russian President’s objections.

“I warned him that that would kill us in the suburbs, and he ignored me,” Putin said. “I hope this teaches him never to disobey my orders again.”

Pretty much as expected result, checks and balances back in place with the house win. Dems now have the power to investigate reps misdemeanours, and get Dumps tax return (if they decide to?). Trump won't care he can blame dems for getting nothing done in the next 2 years.

    Sessions has been bounced out.

House of Representatives Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said: "It is impossible to read Attorney General Sessions' firing as anything other than another blatant attempt by President Trump to undermine & end Special Counsel Mueller's investigation."

I don't see any signs of bridge-building between Trump and a Democratic majority Congress yet. But what do I know about the art of the deal?
