    The PR was in the turning up and not doing a Bush. Of course he then gave an egotistical speech and ignored the victims but from the point of view of his support the key was being seen to turn up quickly and authorise actions to release funding.

    This is no joke, because liberal activist Desiree Fairooz is now being put on trial a second time by the Justice Department — Jeff Sessions’s Justice Department — because she laughed at Sessions during his confirmation hearing. Specifically, she laughed at a line about Sessions “treating all Americans equally under the law” (which is, objectively, kind of funny).
    In May, a jury of her peers found her guilty of disorderly conduct and another offense (“first-degree chuckling with intent to titter” was Stephen Colbert’s sentence at the time). The judge threw out the verdict, objecting to prosecutors’ closing argument claiming that laughter alone was enough to convict her.
    If Justice Department prosecutors are determined to go after those who laugh at Sessions, they are going to need an awfully big dragnet. Sessions’s mannerisms, the things he says and the way he says them dare you to laugh. It’s practically entrapment!

    Unfortunately our standards have been lowered by Trump so having him stay on teleprompt message is a win...and then he'll open his mouth, express his thoughts and fudge it all up again.

    As terrible as it sounds, if he listens and plays the long game on addressing these hurricanes it might cement his presidency despite all the other crap.

    I think his presidency will be defined by irrational, tax dodging, wall building, climate change denying, immigrant banning, pu**y grabbing, narcissistic, white supremacist, transphobic, nepotistic tendencies, rather than the ability to concentrate for 3 minutes on the words on a screen in front of him.

    Yes. Of the support he has lost, this is going to be made up of the more intelligent of those that voted for him, capable of critical thought, consideration, re-consideration and free-thinking.

    The problem is that the support base that is left is made up of the most blinkered and unwilling or incapable of rational thought, as support decreases more it will take more and more time to erode.

    The last few weeks have seen a decrease of his alarming 140 character sh1tbites, maybe down to Kelly, natural disasters and a lull while he picks up the next ill-fated policy move.
