    or

need to get some of this to wallpaper the living room too:

That zebra print is not totally bad though (if it didnt have the flowery bits on it)...

If anyone wants the number for the support group, give me a shout!
  • I confess I did once own these:

I even had the second one printed with my playing name, Bender. Well, you can imagine,

Anybody got any thoughts on Bioracer?

They have a Fabric - Tempest which has an inbuilt water repellency within the fabric - so no reproofing required, usually claims of high breathibility and water repellency together.

David Arthur who is a good reviewer rates some of their kit very highly:

Sale prices on Sports pursuit are very attractive for what is claimed about their products.

Isn't the Stolen Goat bad weather jersey a rebranded Bioracer model?

Interesting review BTR. They look appealing but i'm in the mindset of the DHB deep winter or Lusso max. I have some light bibs (outer edge) and Endura Roubaix and I think these would be almost identical in temp range to the Endura's. The only difference is a pad.
Now, despite riding for over 30 plus years, I have never owned Bib tights with a pad and Have always ridden them with a pair of shorts over the top. I dare say doing this with padded tights would be uncomfortable but the pair of shorts gives a bit more warmth.
There's the trade off: Do the Lusso or DHB give a bit more insulation in the upper leg?

Any chance you could make the text on your reviews a little darker BTR?

Lusso tight wearers out there... how tall are you and what size do you go for? From the size chart I'd probably go XL for length, but L for waist. How do these size up generally? Thinking of the repel bibs.

I find them quite big. A medium Assos bibtight fits me, but the medium Lussos are too long
  • I tend to be the same in most things now, Castelli aside. So have dhb in large, parentini in large, lusso in large. I'd say the latter are perhaps that bit bigger but only incrementally so. And Gore, of course, in large. The Lusso and Parentini I have don't give any more insulation from a panel, just that their roubaix is a bit stiffer. So a tiny margin less kitten soft but a tiny margin warmer. The dhb aeron are a very good choice at the price they are at the moment. BUT the windslam are on special offer.

THe windproof panels tends to mean not quite as snug or free moving but you can do free returns if you don't like them.

Very tempted by that Bioracer Tempest jersey, comes in at £53 including postage. I've been put off before from buying similar tops with the whole reproofing issue, but no need for that here. Need to decide if I really need it...
Edit: Wife has talked me out of it, citing the extension we need to pay for.

Let me talk you back into it. I have the Stolen Goat equivalent and it is the best short sleeve jersey I own. Waterproof and warm. I wouldn't use once the temp goes much above 15 degrees mind.
  • My Ale jacket may be a tad too big for me (long for me) :( lush mind, it may be in the classifieds at some point.

I'd be all over that if they did it in Belgian colours!

Anyway, found my new summer jersey

Got to get these to go with the jersey:

What size is it, depending on your answer can I put a provisional dibs on it (that and an agreeable price of course!)

It's the jacket with orange detailing?

extra large, I'll knock my review up shortly (which I encourage anyone to read first) with actual measurements (a new feature) in there. But broadly it's good for a 40" chest or so.

  • So, 21 1/2 inches pit to pit, 22 inches zip to zip, 26 inches zip neck to drop tail. 17 inches at narrowest waist band, 18 inches about an inch up.

So, in essence, will be good for 43" chest and 36" waist, which is why it's slightly too big for me.

Could be just right for me, but I REALLY dont need another jacket!

Only jacket I am struggling to resist at the moment is the red 'fashion' long sleeve Mossa which just looks superb.

I actually dont think I have bought any bike related stuff at all this Christmas or in 2017 (yet)... Could it be that I finally have so much stuff that I cant find a gap to fit anything new into? Or have I just lost my mojo since the accident last year caused me to lose months of time on the bike and also to take up swimming for rehabilitation? Probably a bit of both if I am honest...

Ah, you need these then to finish the set*:

Got a bioracer tempest here as well. I assume it's identical to the stolen goat.
Great top. Perfect for 5-12ish I'd say. It's lovely and soft. Thin layer of roubaix and hopefully pretty waterproof (untested). I love the idea of sown in DWR. Time will tell on that I guess. But even without, it's a great top.

If there was a topic for stuff we bought we actually needed it would be a short one, the one for stuff we bought cause we wanted it is much longer.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Got a Parentini Mossa based on Benders review....most amazing piece of kit I've ever owned....out in the current frozen wastes of Kent in just a long sleeve base and the Mossa....super toasty. I've had Assos, Castilli, DHB and Gore jackets/jerseys and the Mossa is by far the best....thanks Bender!
  • Mossa.2? Or Mossa? The Mossa.2 is so warm, up there with the Assos Bonka in my view.
