Agreed. I stuck a tiny bit on on Sunday but didn't need it. It's sometimes better if you're going to get wet. But yep.

Rapha Winter embrocation is good mind, I should use it more.

Few Assos reviews coming, which I have paid for...... then some Tadaias.

Now, I have a bit put away, what shall I buy to test? La Passione? Some Cafe Du? Any good thoughts? Pedal Ed?

    1) Pactimo shprts (I have a pair on order having tracked down a 30% off discount code)
    2) La Passione shorts and jerseys
    3) Isadore jerseys and gilets.

I am tempted by la passione. Bit worried at some saying difficult to contact and slow shipping. But if I did I'd order that blue jersey with the diagonal and the black shorts with matching trim.

I contacted them regarding a sizing enquiry and they responded within the hour! In perfect English too.

I ordered one of their caps just over a year ago. It was nice to be able to choose your exact size for no extra charge (although I had to wait a while), I have a large head so that appealed to me. It's the only cap that I have so can't really compare it to others but it is very well made. They seem to have come quite a long way with their new designs and kit since I last shopped there which is nice to see. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I only remember them selling caps and possible one or two jerseys when I ordered.

Personally, I'd be interested in a review of some of the void kit https://www.voidcycling.com/#

    Galibier please!

LP can be a bit slow, and comms can be pretty poor, ie I had to chase for a refund once, when they had had the items for a good week IIRC.
Pactimo I tried, and the quality was evident, but didn't suit my long legs\short torso combination, basically the legs were the right size, but the straps were nowhere near tight enough, so sadly had to send them back.
And there was no option to go smaller, as I ordered the smallest size I could.
Same issue I have with Chapeau as well sadly.
I also had a bit of fun and games sending them back - hopefully it has changed now, but at the time no one was answering the e-mail address (That you had to contact to obtain a returns number) and no one was answering the phone.
Eventually after leaving multiple messages one of their coaches rung me back, and explained the one person who handled returns was off sick - she did call me back eventually, and it was all sorted, but I guess one of those things you get with smaller operations, but something an out of office\auto reply could have sorted.

Just bagged me a Perfetto in XL and XXL - came back into stock before the offer ran out at £103, so rude not to...

Not sure about them, the design is a bit "Marmite". Probably the sort of thing you need to see in the flesh. Maybe the light blue one...

    Rapha Shadow?
    Prohibitively expensive mind.....
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

It does. They've allocated their "review" kit so I'd have to pay. I will carefully consider. Looking like a jersey only at this point as I might be buying some Assos Tiburu in the classifieds.

Bender - you've tested a lot of kit over a large price range so how about a consolidation piece on whether we have been sold the emperors new clothes - why buy ASSOS, Rapha etc when Lusso & DHB have appeared to raise the bar for budget clothing. It also appears that Parentini and Lusso appear to make their products in their host country - which has generally been an expensive process - ASSOS products appear to be made in Bulgaria and Rapha seems to be made in China. An article looking at where cycle clothing brands make their clothing would be interesting - afterall, Lusso - made in Manchester is a USP which would influence my decision to make a purchase.

No agenda from me. The Intermediate is still the absolute best thing in the history of the world. Cape Epic jersey review later today. Best road MTB jersey ever.....

So do I get a Perfetto for £103 with 17% off at wiggle? Or a dhb Rain defence which is just nearer £80?

I have a 1st generation Gabba but the poor fit really annoys me!

The Perfetto and the Rain Defence are arguably different. RD for colder wetter days, Perfetto for warmer ones. All within a small range of difference though. I'd be inclined to order both (and perhaps different sizes), use paypal pay later and return free with Collect+

So the RD would probably overlap with my Gabba1?

I really just want an aero-fitted Gabba that is a bit lighter weight so the Perfetto seems like the one.

Only stuff I've got are a couple of caps(one special they did for the Cambridge TDF stage and an Omloop winter one)and some winter socks;all come in a nice bag with the makers name on.Supposed to be hand wash only but TBH I've put the socks in with the machine wash and they have been fine.

Prob get some of the summer socks sometime.

Oh and can't make up my mind on some best summer shorts;torn between the Lussos(Peleton pros),Chapeaus(Paves) and the Isadore ones, favourites at the mo are the Lussos(already have some of the older cheaper ones).

That's more likely the boy IMO. Don't rule out the Lusso Corsa mind, if you don't mind black.
