Only stuff I've got are a couple of caps(one special they did for the Cambridge TDF stage and an Omloop winter one)and some winter socks;all come in a nice bag with the makers name on.Supposed to be hand wash only but TBH I've put the socks in with the machine wash and they have been fine.
Prob get some of the summer socks sometime.
Oh and can't make up my mind on some best summer shorts;torn between the Lussos(peloton pros),Chapeaus(Paves) and the Isadore ones, favourites at the mo are the Lussos(already have some of the older cheaper ones).
The Lusso are very good and hugely underrated. It's interesting because at that price they are competing with the heavyweights. Kudos to them. The Neo Pro are currently £89.99 on Ribble...........My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I got some NeoPros S7 from an ebay outlet store - did the 100mi Cambridge TdF stage on them two weeks ago and a 100km dash on them last weekend. They do tend to need to be pulled down a bit every so often ( a bit indelicate to explain why - suffice to say that the floating pad does move around more than a normal one ) but this is just a good excuse to change riding position and stretch; but this did not cause any chaffing etc. and otherwise they are supremely comfortable.0 -

I did the Velothon in the Equipe. Lots of people have talked about the floating chamois. On me it seems to sit still! Which is nice. Wanted to look at the Neo Pro to see how the Equipe could be justified and perhaps a speculative comment on whether paying more for the Kuku might see anything other than mini marginal gains! My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Oh and Mr B - what is your recommendation for a light-weight cheap short-sleeve top? Commuting kit is beginning to get holey and I am hoping that the summer will be good enough to need some cooling tops0

Cant get cheaper than that and last year's version (called the DHB Mono) was really good - I love mine as much as more expensive kit I have.0 -

I was thinking sub 20 quid - and have just bought one of the Wiggle ones apreading mentioned to see what it is like. I sweat so much in the summer that daily kit change is essential and I cannot bring myself to spend decent money on kit that gets trashed very quickly.
But still open to suggestions0 -

Just bought a blue one to see what it is like - and for 12 quid it won't need to be that good to be a bargain (and my discount makes it sub a tenner). If it is comfy then it would seem to be exactly what I was after - tbh I thought I had checked wiggle own brand but must have imagined it. Thanks0 -

I really just want an aero-fitted Gabba that is a bit lighter weight so the Perfetto seems like the one.
I'm tempted by the Sportful Fiandre Light Norain jersey/jacket, shorts as well.0 -

Pactimo Summit Raptor Pro shorts arrived today. Seem really nice quality. Good and long in the leg which I was after. Got a lengthy ride planned Saturday so will report back thereafter.0

Just read the Cape epic jersey review. Assos did a good job picking the new female model, the asymmetry of her tattoos match the new asymmetric jersey designs!
I agree with you on super light climbing jerseys. I am not sure they are as good as regular jerseys in the mountains. Invariably, when you have reached the top of long mountain climbs, you are drenched in sweat and actually need a jersey which is a bit thicker to shield the wind chill a bit on the descent. Otherwise you invariably freeze on the descent. The only time they might work better is if it's >25degC on the descent, but how often is that the case in the high mountains? not often I can tell you.0 -
I'm sad Wiggle took it out of the price drop. It's a bit annoying of them. Had the Epic jersey stayed in it would have been under £70 by today and I'd have been all over it.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

It's a Kask. Probably more Mojito than 50NTA.

Frankly - I think it looks like a straight rebadged 50NTA; but at £41:50 it is pretty amazing value. I could just about excuse myself buying a helmet that is large enough to allow cap/skull cap underneath - but medium is not gonna allow that as I am right on the border size wise.0 -

I've got both. I bough the NeoPro first and have the Tiburu 3/4 for winter which has the Equipe pad in it. Coming back into the NeoPros for Spring was definitely a step down so I bit the bullet and got the Equipe. Got them for £100 from Ribble a month or so back - not a bad deal.
The construction of the shorts is not that much different, a bit closer fit and a bit better material. Nothing that really makes a difference. The biggest 2 things are a pink band on the leg of the Equipe and the rather dubious use sunglasses loops on the straps. The pad though is miles better on the Equipe as it's much slimmer at the front and feels like there is less excessive material there.
RRP between the 2 is £35 and I think it's probably worth it. In the end I paid the same for both, just got a better deal on the Equipe.0 -
Yeah, I held off. Tricky seeing the differences in the pads etc on actual photos. Perhaps the better test would be to see how the Cento are...My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Ah bugger!0 -
I think the Cento pad is what I have in the Bonkas that I got for Xmas - like wearing a wetsuit - possibly a bit overkill for a British winter. Not sure I noticed the extra pad thickness and have never felt the need for extra comfort on rides up to 100 and a bit. The Penthouse is quite nice and keeps the old fella from feeling a bit too squished but once on the bike you'd never know.
Personally based on this I'm not sure of the big jump in price up to the Cento. Not taking into account any other advantages that are in the shorts though0 -

Ah I dunno, maybe they are just lost on me, but tried the cento s7 on last night - just not for me at all and I really can't see where all that extra money is going...they didn't feel any more comfortable than my Altura or even old DHB shorts...but then again everyone is different. I didn't like how low the cut was at the front either - overall just not very impressed.
Think ill be back to wiggle to try the Aerons, although I'm still tempted by the Chapeau Paves...if they would just bring them down a bit in price i'd definitely give them a shot.0 -
@bender: You might, actually. The Cento is more of a relaxed cut, whereas the Campionissimo has a race cut with more compression. Totally different fabrics too. The chamois construction is also very different, more like the old double layer Fi 13 S5 which were fantastically comfortable.
I am not for a moment suggesting you try the Campionissimo though. Much too expensive really.0 -

The only time you can really assess these things are at the end of a long sportive with 6hours+ in the saddle. Your arse will tell you where the extra money goes.
A quick try on without riding is pointless really. How can you possibly tell anything from that apart from the fit?0 -
