A great vid of VanMarcke on his TT bike with a 500ml bottle standing on his back for 12 seconds. the Clinic will probably find one of Froome with a 750ml bottle on his back for 20 seconds and declare it a mutant performance...0 -
Rogan keeps saying Cyler instead of cyclist and has jus confused Lemond with the diver Greg Louganis (no idea how to spell that)
Yeesh Joe, do some reaserch mate...

Something with Verbruggen is happening, hidden behind all the Coe/Fifa Stuff though

Everyone is doing a podcast now... here's the real alternative to the secret pro: Inside the Peloton with Mitch Docker. Round 1 with Turbo Durbo, Round 2 with Luke Rowe.

It's interesting to just hear two pros chatting about races. Their perspective can be quite different from the experts.0 -

Using the old Channel 4 Tour De France signature music gave me flashbacks. Nice little item, that.0 -

I regret to inform you all that my application to be director of the Centrum Ronde Van Vlaanderen was rejected. So you won't be seeing me on Sporza this April.
Plus side, I don't have to work on the day."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

It's not so bad, I didn't know when I applied that the bar had been sold off to a family friend so I'd still be paying for booze. And unable to drink on race day.
Dodged a bullet there."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Maybe it was making up for a sh*t day at work or that they are talking about proper racing again but I rather enjoyed today's cycling podcast.
An interview with Goat's man Benoot as well as Sargeant drawing comparisons between Hinault and Sagan (not shaving their legs and then ripping up races, although Sagan needs to work a bit harder on the latter).0 -
BR kept these quiet but they ve made a few videos with "Icons" from the past. I think I have something in my eye after this one of Maggie talking about his Paris Roubaix win - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Dum8ar8iywWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

That's great, inspired me to dig out my old Paris Roubaix DVDs0

Bit of a plug, but I just spent the last half hour listening and had to share... Lot's of moments in this when I couldn't help but smile.

Josh, is iTunes version coming? iTunes Cyclingnews podcast stack seems to be 2 behind, currently showing the Belgian Classics Preview episode as most recent. Just slower there to feature?0

Just caught up with these - agree the Rowe on is good, and I think Chris Juul Jenson is possibly the maddest man in the peloton, in a good way.
I have that theme tune as my phone ring-tone....0 -
