You can’t miss out Battle of Britain from the above list.

    Epic aerial sequences

On a serious note: Saving Private Ryan and for impact; The boy in the striped pyjama's and Schindler's list.
Not that I would watch either again, nor did I watch them 'last'.

    Mary Poppins Returns

As mentioned earlier, it’s not as good as the original but it’s certainly worthy of being mentioned in the same breath

Emily Blunt does an excellent Julie Andrews impression, the set pieces are superb and the songs show signs that they’ll grow into classic Disney songs

My favourite part is incidental music with small and subtle references to the original songs, that was a very nice touch.

Smart, funny thriller. Razor sharp dialogue and jokes, witty and clever, top notch casting, killer sound track. Only got three stars on good site

The Usual Suspects. Top film, and great twist at the end.

Took my daughter on New Year's Eve. My wife got called into work half way through and I wished I had been. I thought it was terrible, a second rate remake claiming to be a sequel. All the set piece scenes were just re-hashes of the original, nothing new and the songs are highly unlikely to be family favourites in 60 years. It was also at least 45 minutes too long, I can't recall ever looking at my watch so often in a film. For context, I like the original and thoroughly enjoyed the stage version and I enjoy many musicals so it's not that it 'isn't my thing'.

Finally watched 'Springsteen on Broadway', up on Netflix now. Recording of his live Broadway show. Wow. Even if you are not a fan of Springsteen, though I am (full disclosure), this is seriously powerful.

This is on my to watch list.

When we were kids, many many moons ago, my mate re-christened the boss Bruce Ringpiece. The name stuck and we would always refer to him as such. Funny how defensive his fans could get when overhearing our conversations sometimes. Our group could take or leave him, just a bit too USA feck yeah for us. I like his Tom Joad period though.

The Boss has never been a Trumpista type, despite various interpretations to the contrary. E.g. Born In The USA is anti imperialist, anti Vietnam war, anti exploitation of the young and poor.

The film of the live show is well worth a watch. Is just him talking about his life, illustrated by some of his songs, and he seems to put it all out there emotionally. I would not be surprised if this is him saying goodbye to public performances.

Oh, and (spoiler alert) Ghost of Tom Joad is one of the songs he performs.

Seven Psychopaths. Very entertaining, with that In Bruges style black humour. Sam Rockwell probably the stand out performer in a great ensemble cast.

I watched a few Laurel and Hardy shorts last night.
Still quite amusing in places, but its easy to understand why they aren't on TV any more.
