3 team leaders for the men: Boonen, Van Avermaet and Gilbert. Vanmarcke mentioned in interview also expecting leadership. 3 is already too much. Sporza commentators shocked Roelandts wasn't picked
Sporza commentators have an undeserved love Roelandts.0 -
Monster team if they work well together. Monster.
Would be a real fairytale for Tom going into his final season.
I have more hope than expectation...0 -

Big "if". Great team... But too many leaders?0 -
I would love Boonen to get it, I've got money on G but I think it will end up with a minor rider getting it (similar situation to Costa in Italy).
What's the weather likely to be like?0 -

Hmm. Have a feeling G will be on his knees after the Vuelta. Very long season, with much of it at the front of races.0 -
Here it is !!0

Can see Lizzie taking the females, may be more hopeful however as she would undoubtably look great in the kit.
Cant see the Belgies winning expecting another outsider this year, maybe even Valverde. It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.0 -

They have 9 elite riders!
Fair enough. I thought there weren't enough different riders who scored points to qualify 9.0 -
British U23 squad is strong.0

British U23 squad is strong.
It is. Think they'll have more success that the senior men's squad. Unless Stan is on super strong mode (and he did look good in ToB)
I think Geraint will be knackered. And there's mutterings about Cav not being right in time...0 -
Neither of the Yates twins in the GB squad?0

Neither of the Yates twins in the GB squad?
Not a great course for them. Sounds like they and GB had a reasonable discussion and agreed about that before the team was decided.0 -
This isn't a Cavendish dig, but I don't think he'll win the Worlds or anything major ever again. Maybe the odd Tour stage, but I can't see him picking up any sprint jerseys anywhere now as everyone else has either caught up or gone past him.
Would love to see him do it though, but for me he's on the wane now.
Every dog has their day, as they say.0 -

No they didn't. They were frozen out by BC in an anti-anti-Sky fit of pique. It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0 -

Fugslang gave up his RR spot for Guldhammer
“I just received the news myself and right now, I’m filling the formal papers and documents in order to get clearance from the organizers," Guldhammer said in a Cult Energy team release. "I’m very happy and excited about being elected to my first World Championship as a professional and I’m honored by the fact that Jakob pointed in my direction as his replacement. It’s shows a lot of class from his side to make this decision and I’m hoping to repay the confidence with a good performance in Richmond."Contador is the Greatest0 -
