Froome having fun on the descent.Contador is the Greatest0
-
The poor descender, Chris Froome, just overtook Nibali on the descent..0
-
Are riders being dropped at this stage as in "I just can't go fast enough" or is there an element of "Power meter says this is far too fast so will pace myself"?0
-
Please dont let the lackies back. Just put the hammer down and dont let up.
LACKEYS
Please someone quote this, I've been blocked by the hand of god ...Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.0 -
20s back to G apparently.0
-
You lot need to chill out.
?
They are racing rather than tempo tapping. If you love cycling you get excited.
I am excited but they got a few seconds gap on the first climb of the day. Nothing major. When they manage to drop Froome on the Croix de Fer then I'll jump up and down.0 -
Bardet and Uran lead the way.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Big Balls Bardet at the sharp end again..0
-
Yep, he has proved his doubters wrong so far with his descending. Not looking shabby at all. Plenty of other riders have hit the deck too.0

They have destroyed his team. Therein lies the excitement. On the next climb he will have no one but Poels (who should be destroyed) and G if he manages to rejoin but he will pop again.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Rigoberto Uran has to be one of the coolest names in the race0 -
Bardet is a super descender.Contador is the Greatest0

I hope for their sakes that Porte and Roche have been told to ease up, otherwise it's very early to be sitting with Greipel and Cav.0

They haven't destroyed his team. His team as individuals are having issues.0 -
G managed to make it back...
Hopefully they sustain the pace and then pop them on the next climb.Contador is the Greatest0 -
The poor descender, Chris Froome, just overtook Nibali on the descent..
Twice in two days, yet every time Nibali gets near the top of a climb all you hear from the commentators is 'Nibali is such a brilliant descender' yet Froome hasn't even sweated to stay with him and he's supposed to be rubbish.0 -

Little from column a, little from column b. ImoTeam My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
Bardet is a super descender.
Almost 30 seconds on Froome group.
Looks like Konig managed to make it back...?Contador is the Greatest0 -
Bardet is the smoothest descender I've seen. I'm sure he's fast too, but it's just poetry the way he weaves round the bends.0

There's no free lunches, Frenchie and it's a marathon not a sprint. Temper that excitement until the upper slopes of the CdF.0 -
Bardet's in the Nibali school of descending. He just chucks it into the corners as fast as possible rather than picking the perfect lines and floating down the mountain.0
-
i suspect what will now happen is that they will all stroll up the next climb apart from some half arsed attacks near the top"Unfortunately these days a lot of people don’t understand the real quality of a bike" Ernesto Colnago0

Yep, picks his line so well0 -

I'm suspicious of Froome's descending; no previous form then suddenly as good as the best...0 -

Nibali has won stages by being a better descender. When Froome does this, then presumably people will say the same. Until then he is simply average. He is neither Hushovd / sprinter level or Schleck / Menchov etc. level0 -

Ay um ba da- ay um ba da-da-da-da wadladie day!0

I suspect Nibs may be letting Froome lead on the descent to test his mettle a bit / see if he makes an error, rather than just guide him all the way down like he did the other day. Makes sense, although I also suspect Froome will be fine. G back on - hoping he just stayed below the red line knowing he could easily catch up on the descent.0

You think so? I feel like Sagan gets down on pure skill and bavery. He recovers from errors but I've always got my heart in my mouth. Bardet is is almost hypnotic.0
