And if Quintana goes early, will Valverde hang on?
Exactly, Valverde's weakness on the Glandon yesterday suggests a long range attack by Quintana is a risk for both riders.
Froome looked a bit weak yesterday at the end, but then again he looked perfectly chipper in the interviews afterwards. They're all a bit sh*gged now aren't they, apart from Nairo who looks like he could do this twice over.0 -
Does anyone have a link for an English stream that I can watch on my Nexus 7 whilst in France?
I can get France TV Sport fine, but I'm struggling with the French commentary!
http://www.filmon.com/tv/itv4 will have ITV 4, when it's live.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

I read through all 38 pages of the spoiler thread from stage 18, 2011 last night to get myself all hot and bothered in anticipation of this stage. It is going to need a similar suicide attack and dithering in the bunch to make a difference, but here's hoping...
It's the hope that dies last. Still have an active link? I was lost for weeks last time I used search.
sorry, got you on block

Will be interesting to see what happens if Contador or Nibbles goes long. Sky won't chase, so Movistar will have to.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

Quite. There's a lot of time difference for them to be away between Movistar needing to protect podium positions and Sky needing to defend the jersey.Trail fun - Transition Bandit

And Froome is so far ahead that it's unlikely he'll call Thomas back when he sets off for the stage win.

Presumably you're forced into being a Quintana fan given the choice, or have you forgiven Froome, Contador or Valverde of their transgressions?0 -

No, the plan is for G to go early, burn Mov and Saxo to a cinder for 80km, then hold Froome's wheel to get pulled up to 2nd on GC.

No forcing needed, Bean. Been a Nairo fan for a good while now. The guy oozes class, is a joy to watch in the mountains once he gets going, is a powerful advocate for gender equality back in Colombia...whats not to love?0 -
I reckon that even if we see an attack from Contador, Movistar will be the team to chase as they have their 2nd and 3rd to protect.0

Accidental post of the tour? (Unless it's a joke I haven't understood.)0 -
“I could see that they weren’t letting me go. I had hoped to link up with Contador when he attacked but I hesitated for a few seconds and stayed in the group. After that I was on the leash for the whole race,” said Nibali, according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
“I saw that everyone was marking me, above all the Movistar guys. I had never seen Alejandro Valverde in such form, he is stronger than ever.”
Always good for a quote is Nibali with a little veiled comment at Valverde ; )Contador is the Greatest0 -
just setting my out of office, thought others might find it a useful template0

Nibali hesitated so much that they were almost at the summit when he attacked!0

I think that's just a respectful nod to a rival. Don't detect any veiled comments in there, personally.Giant Trance X 2010

Pah! They're only riding 33.5km more on this stage than I did this morning. OK granted my elevation gain was 75m, highest point was 10m and lowest was -4m but still, lightweights!Correlation is not causation.0
