    Sky not looking that good. Froome with Thomas. Quintana moving ahead of him too.

    At the moment this is looking like it could be a very watchable stage.

    The best thing about FF is when he rips Sky domestiques for being in the grupetto and not being effective and then when he rips them for doing their jobs and bringing attacks back.

    Froome back with everyone but Nibali has a few seconds.

    Correct on the chill out. Shaping up to be an isolated Froome day though, a lot of people wanted to see that and at the moment it looks like it could potentially be a very interesting day.

    Would having a big climb early potentially give an inaccurate picture of the relative strengths of the riders today? I would imagine that a few may have gone too hard too early and a few aren't sufficiently warmed up so the placings look distorted and the 2nd climb will likely see a more normal order.

    If you'd known before the Tour that Thomas would be Froome's most reliable mountain rescue you'd be worried for him on this stage.

    Don't try to apply logic. SKY are just bad, simple. I remember when the only people who followed cycling were the ones that liked cycling.
