This two man attack is very fashionable in recent years. Rolland goes with lead out man.

Can this stage not be quite so interesting. I have work to do.

Sky were previously sitting on the front, but they now appear to be chasing. Break is peloton sized.

I keep thinking I'm watching highlights. The usual suspects off the front already.

Gap coming down. Who don't sky want in there, it is someone else pulling now?

Big boys out in force. Contador smashes it. Valverde on it. Nibali soaring.

    It's sunny now.

Bertie tried a move, AleSANdro Valverde also tried one and now Nibbles is on the move.

And now some ice overhanging rocks.

The twitterati would go nuts at my current Garmin game on PCM12... Tyler Farrar with 9 wins by the end of Paris Nice, Michael Kreder takes the pink jersey in the Giro when an audacious attack with 3km to go in stage 1 nets him 50s plus time bonuses... Holds it through the first 2 mountain stages. Not Normal.

Interesting split. Should hurt Sky a bit which might change things later.
