Bardet is the smoothest descender I've seen. I'm sure he's fast too, but it's just poetry the way he weaves round the bends.Bardet's in the Nibali school of descending. He just chucks it into the corners as fast as possible rather than picking the perfect lines and floating down the mountain.

Gravitational dopingThe poor descender, Chris Froome, just overtook Nibali on the descent..
Twice in two days, yet every time Nibali gets near the top of a climb all you hear from the commentators is 'Nibali is such a brilliant descender' yet Froome hasn't even sweated to stay with him and he's supposed to be rubbish.
I'm suspicious of Froome's descending; no previous form then suddenly as good as the best...

Disappointment in our camp. Gendarmes won't let anyone go up the route with bikes. Have to leave them at the bottom and go up on foot. No locks with is mean that we're pretty much at the bottom with 17.5k to go. At least it looks the race could be all over the place when they get to us.
Was stood listening to froome being interviewed for Sky sports. He said everyone would attack and he needs to cover them, but that G was feeling good and they need to watch out for him. Not quite sure about that now!0 -
Everything back to normal. Large group of the usual contenders have 2 mins. Sky on front of peloton taking it easy.0
