Should a group with all the main favourites in fact be considered the peloton?
We need to ask a philosopher...
No we don't. At worst we need a linguist.
Sorry. I meant "language expert".Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Teejay looks to be climbing at my pace. Poor love. Not a fan but he doesn't look well.
Is MY MAN Titchie in the break?Correlation is not causation.0 -
TJ looks to be in a world of hurt. He could very well climb off before this is over today.0

PTP news
Froome the main pick (no surprise there I guess), followed by Nibz and then Bardet.
Bertie and Contador very unloved for this stage0 -

Bertie was too risky. He might win the stage, but if he doesn't he'll probably be behind Froome.0 -

Just saw that - good move by Sky to have two up the road if his rivals try and isolate him early doors0 -
Pinot, JRod, Sagan and 28 others tried to get away but been brought back.
I still can't believe they don't show the first hour, even if it is not live.
Even if it wasn't live they'd have to have all the 'copters up to receive the signals from the Motos (and film themsleves), and then bounce them to the satelites or whateve it is they do to get it recorded or broadcast from the TV station.
Last yr on stage 1 there was 7 or 8 choppers at least up there, would imagine that's not cheap, so less hours up filming = less costs.
But in principle, I agree, when we do see them go from KM0 occassionally it's great viewing.0 -
These heli shots are getting me all excited for my holiday now!

He's not riding the Tour as a GC rider.0 -
Well, TJ's group seem to have picked up some time on the descent. Now only 2:20 behind. But may well lose time again on the next climb.0

By not having a bad day and packing a team of solid rouleurs."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

The same way that Wiggins and many before him did: he found some form and a route that suited him0 -

And racing against a weaker field than is present in this race, and being a good few years younger, and being underrated by his opponents.
Probably missed some others.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -

Yeah just looked at the top 10 of that race... It wasn't stellar."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

TJ group less than a minute behind peloton, looks likely to get back on.
Movistar could get on the front and stop that if they wanted...0 -

Fantastic, riders taking a wazz right in front of a packed commuter train. I suppose they're used to it in FranceCannondale Supersix / CAAD9 / Boardman 9.0 / Benotto 30000
