Hope G is OK. Was Barguil the Giant rider someone mentioned almost hitting a central reservation a few comments before the crash? Pushing a bit too hard perhaps?0
-
G rolling in now and looks ok.0

That was a terrible crash, worrying they've not cut back to him, or no up date on race radio.
Hopefully Barguill is removed from the race tonight. That was an appalling move.
Off the worst of the descent now, Nibali still with 10-12s
It was a stupid move, obviously not concentrating or pushing too hard and thinking he can take some riders on the inside. Foolish move, ITV commentators talking about how Barguill has been questioned about pushing too hard down hill.
You are quite right. Even so - notwithstanding that this is a pro-tour - I would have expected Barguil to check that the man he had just shoved off into the ditch was OK0 -

Brilliant to see G looking unharmed, and someone got a free pair of Oakleys (possibly broken).0

he's hiding under a seat at the back of the bus0 -
Barguil seems retarded, you must lack brains to enter the corner with that speed on the inside0

If they chuck people out and dock them time for "dangerous" moves in sprints, they can for Barguill, looking at the replay, it's even worse, he had no control over himself or his bike. Contadors move was different, he was in control and just overly cooked it. Barguill was dangerous and cut across various peoples racing lines.
That's the closest I've came to thinking I would see a fatality watching a bike race. If G hadn't been so aware and slowed so much imagine his head against that post. Horrible.
Proper hardman chasing back on.0 -
Well I was looking forward to this stage and it didn't disappoint - well done Contador, just a shame that none of those sticky riders could get dropped. Surprised Valverde didn't get a gap, nice work Nibali on getting some time. Really glad that smack was clearly nowhere near as bad as it looked!Contador is the Greatest0

lucky he was wearing his helmet...0

Pretty reckless from Barguil, shooting a corner with that bunch. He's lucky that wasn't more serious....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

Moto cam of Sagan descending! - the corner at 2:07 is terrifying :shock:0
-
He's going so fast he can't turn, only hitting G makes him turn. If he hadn't hit him, he was going head first into the supporters.0 -
Mollema also had a few choice words for Barguil, too.
He did the same thing again and almost took Bauke out.
Carrying crazy speed into known dangerous corners.
Dumb in the extreme, given his own recent crash record."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Those spectators really don't care to get hurt with someone overshooting!Contador is the Greatest0 -
I've just caught up with the action. Thank you Heathrow airport WIFI. Holy crap!
Nasty. Barguil trying for a triple lutz but failing spectacularly after catching his blade on the ice.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Sort of move that gets shouted at in 4th cat racing!0 -
Pleased G's back up. But his neck got quite a tweaking by the look of it, so I think he's gonna have a bad day over the Alps. Crying shame as he's looked bomb-proof to date; not a sniff of him having a "Porte" day.0

Anyway it's mostly irrelevant seeing as he's French0 -

Time for another helmet debate I reckon :roll:0 -
Barguil has already apologised to Thomas. He said he got punted into that line by TVG hitting himNapoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.0

G's interview was funny, annoyed he lost his glasses as they don't make them any more. Does look a bit dazed.0
-
Interview with G on ITV4 one of the best things I've seen! Mainly worried about his lost glasses - "they don't make those any more!"0

Barguil himself was knocked off balance, which is why he was cornering on that crazy line. Glad no-one got killed there. The question is, who hit Barguil? I didn’t catch it.

(still think Barguil should be kicked out?)0 -

Not all riders, but imo that was a dangerous move, he had 0% chance of controlling that speed in that corner.
You're right, he's french, G will get docked time for getting in Barguills way.0 -
Aww they haven't shown it on Eurosport0
-
Haven't seen a full replay, maybe he's just making excuses...0

Just imagine the reaction if the prat had taken out Froome, Contador, TVG etc..'Performance analysis and Froome not being clean was a media driven story. I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean.' TSP0
