Do you have any evidence of the number of helpers used on spring classics vs todays stage?
I would expect that if, as is traditional, riders and team staff's parents are drafted in (as is customary), they're probably going above and beyond their usual level of support."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Sky with their corporate budget have been able to employ a ridiculous amount of helpers for this stage to line the various secteurs. Not sure the UCI should allow that tbh.
Tbh, even if they are volunteering it should not be allowed.
I like the fact that SKY think out of the box, but within the rules, and it's not like they are the only rich team, just the most imaginative.
Agree that it might not be a good direction to go in though but it's up to the UCI to decide. Bit like the motorhome thing. They took the right decision but unfortunately didn't address the issue.0 -
Is that Sagan's RV?0 -

And they're all waiting on the outskirts of Lille to give Chris Froome a bottle."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

Strategic smilers. People are forgetting the Dear Leader's wise words:9. The greatest marginal gain is a simple smile.
If you are a small start-up with limited financial resource or the richest investment bank on the planet, one of the best marginal gains that you can give your team is a simple smile … “and it doesn’t cost a penny!” Brailsford believes that when you are under pressure a smile from a colleague asking “are you okay and what can I do to help” can mean as much as any significant investment. Playing the game with poise and a smile on your face can make all the difference.

Is that the Defy? Or the TCR? The Propel brakes are positioned in the rear of the fork.0 -

164 km to run. 8'25" to the 4 fugitives. I know it's 223km and there are cobbles. In a normal season we could forget it. But this is TDG we're talking about and the only predictable aspect of this year's racing is the chaos....a rare 100% loyal Pro Race poster. A poster boy for the community.0

If I recall correctly, 105 brakes have more clearance than Dura-Ace brakes so they sometimes use them when they need to fit fat tyres.
They should be on the Defy today, although maybe Giant want to show everyone that the new TCR is comfortable?0 -
