TdF 2015 - Stage 4 - Seraing - Cambria ***Spoilers***

Has there been a stage that Contador hasn't won since his return from doping ban, that he hasn't 'had an issue'?
Good ride finishing with a holey wheel none the less.0 -
Ah, my bad!
Yet another high profile fail for Di2 then (not that it would stop me)
How many riders with Di2 (or the campag and sram equivalent) did not have a problem and after how many miles ? You cant criticise all their groupsets after an isolated incident over cobbles at that speed."The Prince of Wales is now the King of France" - Calton Kirby0 -
Another Tour that Porte wont come anywhere close the top ten.
You say that, but I for one apologise for not looking like i will finish near the top 10. I look forward to Porte following my lead...Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
Jrod is looking good. guess that jersey may be his this year
GC podium, I'm calling it now0 -
I thought that was fun. Too many of the strong classic guys riding for their GC guys for it to have split up all over the place, but was still fun.
Great to see Tony Martin so chuffed to get the yellow jersey. The "ON A TEAM MATE'S BIKE!!" comments always amuse me though, it's not as if his team mates ride around on tricycles.0 -

Ever ridden your mate's bike half way through a race? Weird sensation...0 -
What a joke of a rider Valverde is.0
-
What I actually think will happen is a sprint from a bunch of about 30-40 with most of the GC guys just about safely in the group.
Wasn't far off. Great win for Martin. He's deserved at least one yellow jersey.
Good day for Froome as well.
And thankfully Quintana didn't lose any more time.0 -

Contador had a huge hole in his rim apparently
There must be a joke involving Frenchie in there somewhere, but I'm not making it. :P"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Ten Dam finished.
The guy deserves the Pédaleur de Charme T-shirt for that.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Valverde rode for himself right up until the last few kms, with Quintana grimly holding on to the back of the lead group. Then he ushered him through after the final cobbles to be protected.
Somewhere there is a bullet with your name on it Nairo.
Chapeau to Quintana for an amazing ride, the same goes for Bert and Froomedog.0 -
Ten Dam finished.
He made it I think. Think it's in the time limit!0 -
sagan saved the day for a lot of guys by closing that gap to a manageable distance right when it mattered is my take"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

Ah ok... I thought he gave up after finishing!
He made it in with most of OGE at 16 mins down. Hansen in that group too - claims he cried his way to the finish.
Dowsett finished at 26 mins down, last man in. Apparently crashed 50km out. Ok but got 6 stitches in his arm.0 -

valverde blocked the front group from riding thru when it mattered
it was a sound piece of riding and nairo probably would have been left behind if valverde had stayed with him..along with valverde"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. Another Tour that Porte wont come anywhere close the top ten.
Please let that be your last bit of Porte-bashing during this Tour. The novelty has worn off.
HE IS ON DOMESTIQUE-DUTY FOR TOUR 2015 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DD.
P.S. Good ride by Quintana today. He is not out of the hunt for the final yellow yet. Rigo in the front group along with Gesink too. Some heavyweight rides from the sport's lightweights.
If riders want to be free of technical problems on stages like these, they need to run mechanical group-sets with a set of Ambrosio Nemesis rims.0 -
Interesting comments reading back about Froome's "attack" when G pulled off the front. Seriously why would anyone really call that an attack?
He was on the front and wanted to keep the momentum up, it was an increase of pace (maybe got a little excited) but nothing more. I thought it was great to see. He could quite easily just sat in and watched Nibali and Contador all stage and just play it safe, but he's there to race and take any opportunity.0 -
Dowsett last today. Hope he made it especially given his haemophilia and the fact he was bleeding. By my calculations he is 7 mins outside the time.0

6 stiches in his arm and is ok. Don't know about the cut off yet...0 -

Average speed of about 40.6kph.
So cut off is 12%. So 5h 28 = 328 minutes x 0.12 = 39 minutes.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Apparently (thanks to google translate) Ten Dam thought it went well today, just a bit warm...0

Seems OK to me0 -
The GC listings on Cycling News have Alex Dowsett still in the race.

Latest odds for GC:
Froome 5/6
Quintana 9/4
Contador 9/1
Nibali 12/1
Van Garderen 25/1
Rodriguez 40/1

I'm assuming that's win only? 9s around Contador is tempting, though I think it might actually be a fair reflection.Team My Man 2018: David gaudu, Pierre Latour, Romain Bardet, Thibaut pinot, Alexandre Geniez, Florian Senechal, Warren Barguil, Benoit Cosnefroy0 -
