Awesome win for Martin! Ideal for Sky too.
So Froome can't ride the cobbles, lol Always thought that had been massively overstated. Cracking work by Thomas, Roche, Stannard.
Great stage0 -
Cavendish wasn't in the top 10. Bit of a hit on points that.
EBH fifth... no sign of Kristoff or Sep
Bouhanni sixth and Coquard tenth - at least some French riders got a result...0 -
Could that stage have been any better? GC guys smashing the cobbles and not losing time as feared, a great race and big Tone destroying them whilst Degenkolb had a chat to Nibali0
-
Oh my, what a stage that was. Great last 50km. Really pleased to see Nibali go for it and a shame he couldn't take some time but the others were really doing well and the teams were superb.
Big congratulations to the GC teams and their leaders.
HUGE SHAME ON 'CLASSICS' RIDERS. They got totally and utterly owned. Totally. Disgrace.
Degenkolb is a total loser as well. Got to be the master of trying to do absolutely no work. Even when Martin had gone he was trying to wave people through. No class.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Great win for Tony Martin. A deserved yellow jersey.
Bad luck for the other Martin.
A huge ride by Froome today. Very impressive. Even had time to gift a bidon to a young lad. Always thinking of the fans. Pure class.
