    Visconti shoulders are rocking just holding the wheel. Dupont rocking every part of his body.

    Tiralongo looks just fine here as Anton moves up to his shoulder.

    Just before the top of the climb, Visconti moves up and takes the points...maybe forgiven as his teammate holds the jersey. Who then shoots out the front to claim the points 1.30 behind with Betancur just after him.

    Yeah but this is Contador we are talking about. He only has three riders to keep an eye on. The rest are cannon fodder as far as GC is concerned.

    After splitting on the descent the three leaders are back together at the base of the climb. Astana have taken the advantage down to 30 secs with 20km to go. Anton crashed but is back up. Maybe 15 riders in the GC group, a third of them Astana.

    Was that an illegal feed for the race leader?

    It might be better too if Contador doesn't win this particular stage, given the history involved. It could be a bad omen if he did.

    So pretty easy climb up until approx 3km to race.

    Julich: Looking at the profile of this last climb, I think if Astana/Aru have to wait until the last 3km to light it up. That is 10km from now, so this is a perfect example of what I mentioned earlier about using the other team’s riders as your teammates.

    Koenig looking comfortable. looks like Sky backed the wrong horse again but then who knows what damage Porte did when he crashed.
