    Nice canyon.

Don't try and climb the road to the south of it back towards Ponte Arche.

The road on the north side is nice (the one the leaders are on now before they turn of to the 'git climb') poor surface but it goes up high and you can see down into the canyon, they went along that road during the Giro del Trentino.

We have friends with a place just outside Ponte Arche so we know the area well.

And, since there's a tenuous Pantani link to today's proceedings, I'm just going to leave this here...

What did I just watch?

Would-be my man Zardini attacks out of the Peloton. Must've been getting a bit bored.

Despite what he's said, I wouldn't be surprised if Porte abandons at some point.

Bit of a stinger this climb and with the almost no flat between the two climbs it would be a good place to go for a long one. If only.

Uran nearly 30s behind the group. Drat. Astana with 5 around Aru. Contador with only Rogers. Might matter over the top for a chase.

Contador not even trying here. He is going to rip Froome to pieces. And what a load of false hope from those thinking Porte would win this.

Davide Formolo and Pelizotti dropped. Tinkoff looks to have burnt themselves out.

    Zardini cracked and caught.

Three up front going well. 35km and 2mins. Wont be enough but decent still.

Shame, but with Zardini, there's always another time.

What a great climb, they should have put this one at the end - would have created some serious gaps if raced and full pace. Only lucky thing is that legs will be shot to pieces come the next softer climb.

Aru and Contador have pretty much climbed the whole of this out the saddle. Pure climbing talent. Float not grind.
