4 freedoms go together. What alienates so many people from EU is feeling that capital, goods & services have more value than people

It's what they're all saying. And rightly so.

It's the way of the future.

But I would say that as I'm a citizen of the world, a member of the liberal elite.

Seems like many of the pro-Brexit brigade in the media and parliament are getting upset with how it's going.

Even Dickie Davis has admitted that business faces a cliff edge is we leave with no deal.

Well worth a read. No, really. If you are a Brexiter then it's actually a must.

In what way do you think you are 'elite'?

Or for that matter, 'a citizen of the world'?

Get with the programme Steve. I'm beginning to think you're not following the fascist statements of your PM very closely. Google is your friend.

Well that's promising. Unless it's just a job creation scheme, the EU is clearly expecting to negotiate extensively.

I'm just asking you to explain yourself.

Maybe you could tell us how often you take time out of cat sitting to travel the world and campaign for the rights of the underprivileged?

I've only been doing it for 18 months so currently I work 7 days per week, every week. But it's now grown to cover my London mortgage, 2 lots of child maintenance and bills. So in that sense I haven't been able to afford a day off, let alone a holiday in 18 months. But I am lining someone up to help me moving forwards and enable me to have a break here and there. In effect I've worked the last 500 ish days consecutively.

A true Tory!! Starting a business, nurturing it and seeing it grow through hard work and now providing employment. Well done!!

Seriously though, well done on your success.

Question Time last night was a perfect indication of where the uk currently sits.

    Shameful. And incredibly ignorant.

One thing's for sure I certainly will never be visiting Hartlepool.

Conveniently, pretty much in line with what 'Project Fear' suggested, 1/12 of the £30bn forecast.

I managed about ten minutes before turning off before I got too wound up.

And if the best standard of guest they can get is Conrad Black things are looking pretty bleak.

That's been the same for Question Time for years though, hasn't it? I don't watch it regularly because there was never any meaningful discussion on it.

What happened yesterday then? Sounds like I might enjoy it, I like getting a bit of righteous indignation occasionally.

As well as a lardy Kipper, there was that idiot Conrad Black and a very poorly informed, aggressive audience of Kippers. Just horrible. Poisonous.

In happier news, UKIP came 5th at the Witney by-election, behind the Greens and the big three.

In less happy news National Front and BNP both fielded candidates against Labour at Jo Cox's Batley and Spen seat, and heckled the winner during her victory speech. However apart from Labour all the other candidates lost their deposits, so not all bad news.
  • Did someone really ask "What part of Brexit is it, that our Politicians DON'T understand?"

I think the BBC, with Conrad Black here and last week having Katie Hopkins on This Week, are making an effort to put across why so many Americans support Trump. Not palatable, but an attempt to provide balance.

The best audience contributions came from the two teachers who were saying how racism and xenophobia are on the rise in schools since the referendum.

I was also sorry to hear that Ken Clark is standing down at the next election. I don't agree with everything he says but any major political figure who continues to choose to stand for the Commons when all his peers have gone to Lords decades ago gets my respect. He was also a fantastic chair of the Home Office select committee during his years in opposition (the key figure in stopping Labour's plans for 56 days detention without trial).

Well they made massive gains to finish second. The UKIPer on Question Time was peddling their line about being Britain's third biggest political party. I hope this result will be quoted at anyone else in UKIP that tries that line again.

Lib Dem have a long history of good by-election reults and "mid term" council results without translating that into MPs at a GE, so it remains to be seen if they will improve their MP count.

Beat me to it. Good going - a real live case of hard work and entrepreneurship being rewarded.

I think to qualify for the Liberal elite though, you need to live in a multi million pound property in North London, quaff champagne and send your kids to private school while simultaneously complaining about how unfair selective education is :)

The level of racist bile currently on Twitter really is something else. And it's 100% Leave voter.

Are these really the people we want gaining the upper hand with our futures?

    I'm scared.
