Why would we SC? I can only speak for myself but all I wanted was independent UK government without EU interference.
Perhaps Brexit will facilitate other nations seeking their own 'exit' but that is not for me to ponder.
FWIW - I love Europe! I love visiting European countries and taking in the culture and vibes, indeed I am of a European heritage myself, but I just hate the political construction that is the EU. Sorry!

I assumed you were joking so was joining in.

Yes I was joking. This country is screwed now cos of all those nasty racist brexit idiots.
Dig the hole in the ground, order that Anderson shelter and hope for the best.
    We're all DOOOMED!!

OFFS! SC! This is all too satirical for me! Obviously I don't agree with your viewpoints but I can't keep up as it's far too subtle for me :-0

NOT appointing Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary would also be good.

    Oops, too late. :?

    Grand title but no responsibility?

Presumably will focus on enhancing trade relationships around the world.

Yep when you get an ache in your balls and start losing weight, i hope you ll bare that in mind and ask for advice on here or just ignore it, absolutely no point going to see your GP, let alone that Polish Oncology guy down at your local Hospital, these guys are full of shitte,
Same if you get an engine oil light on your car, stick bit a black tape over it, whoever designed that as a warning device to save you an engine rebuild has no xxxxing idea what they are on about,,, bl00dy experts

I'm warming to May though, Johnson as FS ? guaranteed to p1ss off every EU leader in informal negotiations, so getting us a terrible deal and no triggering of Article 50, remember BJ was an ardent Remainer until only feb 2016.

either that or she has a great sense of humour ?

Haha! Too true! If that pesky engine oil light comes on in my motorbike dash I'll just attend to it myself. If my balls ache or I start losing weight I'll make a point of booking an easy jet flight to Warsaw so a hot Polish nurse can rummage around in my boxer shorts :-)))

You will need a credit card as you will no longer be allowed free medical care in EU countries.

I get the impression they use single market and Eu as synonims... he probably means EU.

Boris was adamant in his campaign about retaining access to the single market

he always struck me as the more optimistic type.

the prob with immigration controls is the immediate msg it sends those here and those who wanted to come, of course longer term, the more lurid scare stories will diminish but in the meantime?

got a friend who has just finish her 2nd tour at a refugee camp in Greece, this time round, she could find no-one who wanted to come to the UK, of course some will say "Fantastic"

Spending our way out of recession? thats never been tried before

Well, that was the only possible outcome... the real question is what happens if the EU turns out to be inflexible... are they buying time to show next year immigration figures with a steep decline and brand it as a result?

I'm guessing that the Government will be deliberately making various public announcements designed to test the waters with various audiences: the Tory party, FUK voters, the EU as a whole, its separate countries, while various discussions go on behind the scenes to see what is actually possible.

So, I'm expecting quite a bit of grandstanding for now...

Labour candidate is standing for leadership candidate on another referendum ticket.

Corbyn is for exiting so I wonder what eagles position is. I hope there is enough cross party support to stop an act of Parliament triggering Art 50. Then again the brexiteers might just use royal prerogative as the trigger.

Rick, sorry to hear that but I fear that's the tune we will all be hearing until it dies away as the UK becomes less and less relevant.

It's not in any countries interests to hold talks now as they want to apply pressure for art50 to be triggered. It doesn't make sense and weakens their bargaining position.

Is Boris' appointment a "keep your enemies closer" kind of godfathery thing?

At least that rules out Gove... gotta look at the bright side
